Kieran McGuire Trust interview 22:33 - May 8 with 780 viewsReslovenSwan1

So what do we learn

a) Wages at Swansea are mid table
b) Player signing budget is top third (he was quite impressed)
c) The club trading model is in trouble because the transfer market for championship players is "sticky". I have been saying this for a while.
d) Costs at Swansea are 35% in excess of income covered by player trading and investment.
e) Owners get abuse even when they do good work and get no thanks.
f) Extra money from TV will be 'prune juice' going straight out in wages at most clubs
g) Clubs relying on over generous owners put themselves at risk. Derby / Bolton
h) Swansea looks well run and the account hold no surprises and as he expected.
i) Swansea have traded player very well over 15 years £200m surplus
j) Current business loses of £250k a week on average.
k) Some owners see the chance of premier league as a lottery with a £10-£20 m price of a ticket for a 3 in 24 chance of the jackpot. 12.5%. (new money Silverstein, Morris Coleman and co)

Well done to the Trust for organising the interview. Good stuff. They should take advice on their own accounts and constitution as well to allow them to grow.
