Sauce? I like the intensity of Angel Rangel and the commitment to concentration and high standards that help turned an ordinary lower league player into a recognised Premier league footballer. I also like the fact he was all in in sorting out Dan James as a 35 year old despite his affiliations he was a pro right to the end of his career.

Angel Rangel on 06:54 - Apr 28 with 1906 views | Dr_Winston | The most stupid thing to do would be to just offer him a job based on who he is, not because of what he's capable of. Ask Chelsea how that's working out for them. Fortunately it seems that Rangel is a lot smarter than that, choosing to learn his trade or even just work out if he wants to do it for the rest of his working life before jumping in. Angel Rangel on 08:49 - Apr 28 with 1848 views | RichardO | He just might want to spend more time with his son as a full time coach job would limit that as would his football career. Given that "he is made for life" with his career choice, a little time out to enjoy family life while he can, sure he will want to get back into the thick of football things and he gets his badges at the same time. The "made for life comment" is tongue in cheek while a footballers playing career is short it would be foolish to rely on it as income for the rest of their lives, a great start but the excess income needs to be used wisely.

Agree with this, perhaps we could get him talent spotting out in Spain, scour the lower leagues, find the next Angel Rangel. A part-time position so he can still spend time with his family, here in Swansea? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

If he and the hunger he would be putting his name forwards. He’s made his bucks for sure. I’m unsure if he has the knowledge to be a part of this current structure.

Yes you could be right. Whether it is a question that he doesn't want to or hasn't been asked I am not sure. Béing a nice guy doesn't necessarily mean he would be a good coach Was great to meet him though
