Chelsea had 13 managers in 19 years under Abramovich during that time they won 5 premier leagues 5 fa cups 2 champions leagues 8 separate managers won a major trophy. The yank will get it right but will do the same again if it doesn’t work out It’s a results business & managers who fail to get the best out of a decent squad for say a season or 2 normally get sacked, of course there are a couple of exceptions.

The best example would be Alex Ferguson but that was back in the days of less financial impact. Of course Port Vale and Crewe had the same manager for years and years but never won a thing, possibly because they were happy with their lot. I’m unsure if NL was referring to Swansea, but I think you were. The issue of course is people ( the ones that matter ) will say there has been an improvement, albeit a small one. Hence the reason why Martin is still with us.

You do know we are not in the PL anymore plus not even a top championship side? Some people think we are.

& what has that got to do with post you replied to? You do know teams outside the PL can change managers as well?

Sorry replied to the wrong post, I was referring to the last paragraph of your first post. Obviously referring to RM, I will say it again, he is not going to be sacked, not ever, these lot in charge will not sack a manager in the championship, in fact i will bet money that RM will leave for a bigger club, I am that confident that he will get it right next season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Swansea have 'Yank' owners a ' Sais' chairman and a 'Jock' manager. The club also has a 'Taff ' defender of African heritage who speaks Welsh. Bravo to him. I think Ben is great. Joey is "Taff" I suppose by English standards at least as are Cullen and Cooper. Wrexham owners an 'American' and a 'Canadian'. There are clearly rules I must follow but I am struggling with the logic of it all. When does Mcillihenny become a 'Yank'. When people get bored I guess (suppose). Or is when they sell up for a nice chunky profit? That is what happened to 'Taffy' sellout Jenkins and 'Taffy' sellout Morgan (currently sponsoring the stadium and shorts) . I suspect 'Sias' and 'Jock' would be frowned upon by deferential Welsh men of a certain sub group. 'Taff' runs into local issues. "That is the Scum mun". You can call some US citizen 'Yank' but not others You certainly cannot call and Englishman a "Sais" for local sensitivities. Jock is OK but outdated. Irish are not all called Patrick (do not go there these days as society has moved on).

Yeah probably Norwich although apparently he’s committed to the club & the project.
