Council car parks on 21:33 - Jan 19 with 756 views | Boundy | Not sure after the tarmac is laid and bays marked out ,certainly in outdoor car parks then what maintenance is required and with it why then a need to raise prices ,. To me it's just more financial obstacles to deter people into an already dwindling shopping area . Over the Xmas period I believe it was £2 to park all day , now that's an attractive price .

Council car parks on 21:44 - Jan 19 with 732 views | Dr_Winston | If I go to town I'll park in Parc Tawe and walk across, or the one by the County Hall when it's free on a Sunday. Not a chance in hell I'll ever pay to park in town unless I've got no choice.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Council car parks on 21:45 - Jan 19 with 730 views | majorraglan | I get the council (like all councils are struggling) and they need to generate some additional revenue, but some of those prices are really steep - it’s going to put a lot of people off coming in the city.
Council car parks on 22:17 - Jan 19 with 704 views | Whiterockin | Apart from work or entertainment I can't understand why people go into the city centre. The shopping is dire.
Council car parks on 22:24 - Jan 19 with 679 views | Scotia | The City centre is dead already. This increase has seen it buried too. I don't go there often and literally didn't buy a single Christmas present for anyone there last year. That's worrying. There's more shops in Morfa now and of course free parking, across the road we're going to have £20 million pounds of levelling up money spent. Perhaps Morfa is the new town centre?

The Market is always worth a visit, apart from that I totally agree with you

It's still cheaper than NCP who charge 1.75 per hour up to a max of 17.95 for up to 24 and they still survive. if people need to park in Swansea they will still choose the cheapest option first.

If the market dies then that will be the final nail for many. My favourite place to visit , friendly, sociable and great quality fresh goods.
