These people are truly stupid and selfish. I reckon (being Judge Jeffries) that all who try these scams should have to forfeit their vehicle and it should be auctioned off to pay costs and to teach them a lesson.
If, as with the Hassan case, there is no vehicle then they should get an extra 6 months inside!
If I were in charge we'd need at least 10 more large prisons. |  |

There is a power under the Sentencing Act to confiscate a vehicle related to an offence, normally reserved for dangerous driving or burglary. Wouldn’t normally happen in a case like this, at least I’ve never applied for it. | | | |
