As my friends on here will know, my wife died,aged just 55,from secondary cancer after having skin cancer ( and getting all clear - she died 10 months later )
She had metastases in the brain, it was diagnosed March 2018 and she had gone by early July.
Living with and dealing with cancer, especially when it is terminal, is unbelievably hard.
I hope we find a cure soon and fully support Keith's nominated charity.

She's an inspiration really and the reason I include her in my posts.
She had grade 3/4 cancer and somehow the surgeon removed the cancer without the need for a masectomy .The cancer was believed to have got into her lymph nodes which is normally big trouble.
Her treatment has left her with lymphodemia which is chronic but manageable .She wears a tight support on her whole arm and hand.Just as well with a pup the likes of ours. Any breakage of the skin for her is an issue.If she needs an injection ,she just has one arm to extract blood ..
She is one hard bitch though and we had a scare of late which meant she now has a nice scar on her throat.
We still keep very active and wild swim in rivers and lakes .
She gets more angry with Russ or rather me bawling at the TV.
I truly am grateful and am always aware of those whose body didnt play the game. | |

So sorry to hear that devastating news. My friend lost his daughter to a brain tumour 20 years ago ( she was in her 30's with a young daughter ) which has affected him and his wife greatly , I can't imagine the heart ache you both must have gone through.
I recently had my prostate removed due to cancer ( which is often detected too late ) I think I was lucky to firstly having it diagnosed before it had spread elsewhere and secondly having the operation during the height of the pandemic . I still have a nagging doubt that it will come back else where . If I may say that everyone ask /insist for a simple blood test (PSA) as the age profile for males developing it in the prostate is getting younger .

My sister is a specialist Oncology nurse. She has spent over 30 years helping cancer victims, until recently.
2 months ago she was diagnosed with inoperable cancer. She is having intensive chemo and radiotherapy, she is suffering physically and mentally, as all cancer victims do but still she is fighting. Only 17% of people in her condition last 5 years. She cannot win but she won't give in.
