The appeal from Volodymyr Zelenskiy, published on the Ukrainian presidency’s website early on Sunday, said the Ukrainian armed forces were in the process of setting up a foreign legion unit for international volunteers.
“This is the beginning of a war against Europe, against European structures, against democracy, against basic human rights, against a global order of law, rules and peaceful coexistence,” the statement said.
“Anyone who wants to join the defence of Ukraine, Europe and the world can come and fight side by side with the Ukrainians against the Russian war criminals.” |  |

The UK foreign secretary, Liz Truss, said on Sunday that Britons who chose to go to Ukraine to fight would “absolutely” have her support. The remarks stand in contrast to the UK position on the war in Syria, where UK nationals who have travelled to fight either for or against Islamic State have faced prosecution on their return home.

Having seen quite a bit on the news, it's going to be anything but a jolly. housewives being shown how to make Molotov cocktails, young women and old men signing up, civilian areas being bombed on purpose, even during a so called truce.

Russian front in WW2 was horrific, I don’t think this will be any different. The Ukrainians will be defending their home turf and even if they take a bit of a beating, I reckon there will be a guerrilla type insurgency.
According to the DM, a convoy of Chechen elite forces including 56 tanks on route to Kiev to try and kill/capture Zelensky ( I’d put my money on the former) was wiped out in a missile strike.
If Putin takes the Ukraine and puts a puppet regime in place, I can’t see it ending there. | | | |

You don't need to go back that far in history to know you're correct , if the Russians do capture any of the big cities without quelling the population then they'll be revisiting another Afghanistan . 40 million people as we've seen so far are not going to lie down politely , more so now . | |
