The decline of Ben Woodburn. What happened? 17:34 - Dec 6 with 4108 viewsReslovenSwan1

Ben Woodburn looked like a generational Welsh talent 5 years ago. Now taken off after 27 minutes in a tactical change in one of the least competitive leagues in Europe.

Shame. I liked his song.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

No, he did not look like a "generational talent". He scored a good goal which made him a household name amongst Welsh sport fans but that's about it.

I remember the hype and being one of few who questioned it. He never looked special. He never looked good. He never looked capable of playing in the second tier, let alone being a "generational talent".

Those with little understanding of the game saw him score a good goal and assumed he was a very talented footballer. This isn't uncommon. Look back at what people thought of Cullen after his goal against Reading under Cooper. Again, very few saw him for what he really is - a poor football player who'll be extremely lucky to play 5 full seasons in the English Football League. Of course, that's the general contemporary opinion these days. It's little wonder Whittaker and Obafemi are upset.

Poll: Should MP for Swansea East Carolyn Harris resign?

Courtney Baker Richardson will have a much more successful career than Liam Cullen. As will numerous other former young players (rightly) let go for not being good enough.

They were unfortunate enough not to be born (or spend a longer period of time) in the Swansea youth system before breaking through. That seems to buy you an extra two or three years before eventually being let go.

I have some faith in CBR. He really is very strong in the 6 yard box. A crude instrument for sure while Swansea fans prefer a sharp blade in their strikers. I am pleased to see him do well again at Newport. CBR had had a tough two years.
