Biden and the Iraq War. 13:07 - Nov 7 with 489 views | JACKMANANDBOY | Reading about Strobel and Landay, journalists who went against the MSM and questioned and uncovered the manipulation of information before the Iraq War, I read that Biden was chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee at that time and part of a small group commissioned by Rumsfeld to justify the start of the war. Unbelievable. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/feb/17/joe-biden-role-iraq-war

Biden and the Iraq War. on 13:37 - Nov 7 with 471 views | Catullus | I've seen elsewhere (possibly a Dr P post) that Biden had backed the illegal war and has since tried to revise the history. It's just typical political shenanigans. Politicians do things then hope we forget or are too thick to do 2+2 and get 4. The internet makes catching them out so easy too. You just have to filter out the looney toon websites. Something a plenty of internet users seem incapable of doing.

Strobel and Landay were alone in swimming against the tide, all the MSM went with the false narrative on Iraq. It makes you think about what percentage of journalists are trying to do the right thing at any one time especially as the media is so politicised these days. The bottom line is that Biden led the false narrative in the USA and was responsible for the information that Colin Powell took to the UN, how he gets to be President is difficult to understand.

That's because of where the world is now. There is no middle ground, or hardly any at least. Everyone is on a side and says and does what that side wants. The number of impartial sources has plummeted, they all have an agenda. The world has become so polarised, if you're not with us you're against us is the way the world has gone. Sad really. Biden said and did things that he now denies and criticises those who still admit to supporting those things. Hypocrisy on a grand scale. In the UK we had the tories trying to change the rules because they didn't like the outcome and only 13 MP's had the balls to go against the flow. 100 bottled it and didn't turn up, the rest just took the total cowards way and did what Bojo wanted. Such is life.

We all lose out, as the role of the free press in a liberal democracy is as a check and balance to all those in any position of power and responsibility regardless.

That's very much what it feels like, there aren't winners and losers anymore, we just all lose. I can make a very sad admission. I love my son dearly, I'd die to keep him safe. yet I do sometimes wish we hadn't had children. The world he is growing into is such a god awful schitty place. The way things are going, what will it be like for him when he hits adulthood? That's only 5 years away. When Presidents and Prime Ministers tell such blatant lies and it's just accepted, when ruining the world is seen ok by the rich because as long as they make profit they don't care, when the people who shout the loudest win the arguments no matter how absurd their position, what kind of world will it be in 5 years, 10,20 years?

Rumsfeld as defence secretary was 'leading the charge' Biden was supposed to be chairing the Congressional Committee to ensure the checks and balances were in place to present a fair appraisal of the situation. Instead he joined Rumsfeld's inner circle at the Pentagon to build the case for war.
