The need for crime though, if it was as simple as having responsibilities, mortgages, jobs then how do you explain things like MP's committing expenses fraud, or in Onasanya's case perjury? How do you explain big business committing tax fraud? Some of the most succesful criminals in this country (and most likely globally) are succesful, rich people.
What about Prince Andrew's friend the now deceased Epstein? Is there ever a need for trafficking under age women for sex? And obviously the answer is where there's demand there's supply and there's a lot of perverts around. If those perverts are rich people who want for nothing, how do you take away the need?

In terms of the building of jails, we have political parties claiming to be tough on crime, however there’s lots of smoke and mirrors and prison capacity hasn’t really increased significantly over the last 13 years and as were catching terrorists, sex offenders could could end up with lengthy sentences it’s adds to the pressures on space, do we see more early release etc, etc.

That's how it should be, major, but the truth is somewhat different. We don't even lock up serious offenders for "serious time" and we see rapists and murderers not even serving 10 years.
There's another scandal there too, the number of people with severe mental health problems who are allowed to live in amongst communities. There aren't the resources to either help them or put them somewhere secure.
It's not just these tories, it's a national scandal going back to Blair and beyond, our police, prison and secure institutions have been reduced until they are barely effective. Blair said tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime, what a joke that was. | |

It is a CHOICE and do not get fooled by the mental health issue introduced by their legal team. Evil is evil. It really is that simple. They want it,they have it. This is what we have to stop.
We do not protect our vulnerable people ,rather we worry about those who create havov and pain. We need a rethink.
