I read that they are looking for 7 million for him, big ask that, I can't see that happening even if he rips it up here.

lets see how he goes over the next half a dozen games, can't make any judgements now, except to say, that the only way we might pay that is if we go up and he rips trees up, TBH

Few alarm bells there for me if I'm honest. Cooper shouldn't be under any pressure to play him, but it's pretty obvious from the article he will be. We'll have to wait and hope that he is up to it especially with Cullens injury.

So you are a "little concerned". I bet you are. You have bought into the 'fake narrative' of your mates at the Trust. They are on course for missing the boat again by selling the members the idea that they was 'no alternative' to legal action. Absolute nonsense. To use American sayings "They have came to a fork in the road" and the time for "kicking the can down the road" is coming to an end. If you want to put your faith in accountant volunteers lumbered with a failed strategy then that is your choice. If Morris turns into Michu mark 2 then Swansea can buy him for £5m. Ayew and Lowe better keep on delivering. Morris at 26 has 14 international goals.

Not sure how long he’s been lingering around, but he does have a good financial track record, his links with Swansea and Barnsley may cause concern.

The only spouting a false narrative is you. Never heard anyone on the trust mention the story that you like to accuse people (without evidence) of saying. As i keep saying, don't worry about it, you keep saying they'll lose anyway so don't concern yourself. The trust will still be there to pick up the Burnley style Bucks down the road. Anyway, yes as you say hopefully this guy is up to it and pushes the front two. Competition always good. Just hope he'll be given minutes for the right reasons for the benefit of Swansea City and no one else.

I am pretty sure you do not know the possible consequences of losing a legal case. You must be very naiive to think going to court is a 'free hit'. Legal and court fees could be astronomical and the Trust do not have sufficient funds. They never did.

Agree. I cannot believe so many are ambivolent about losing a case in Court. Those who think they WILL win are pretty much soft in the head. Great day out for legal leeches though. It's party time at Chambers at our cost.

But of course you have no idea what deal has been worked out with any potential funder. But its part of your agenda to portray a domesday scenario as usual.

These guys aren’t ‘owners’ in the way that a British football fan will think of ‘owners’. They are investors in what is effectively a fund, originally managed by Kaplan and Levien, who form Swansea Football LLC who own 69% of Swansea City 2002 Ltd who, in turn, own the football club. The Trust owns 21% of Swansea City 2002 Ltd. In much the same way as every other fund, people put money in and take it out. Values will go up and down. This bloke wasn’t an original investor (one of the ‘28’ who were all named a couple of years ago). So he has obviously invested in the fund since. Ironically, it’s a good example of the structural issue with the club ownership that leads to an issue for the Trust. People can buy and sell in the top company without any money ever reaching the hands of the Trust (despite what some on here are determined to have people mistakenly believe). So ‘owners’ come and go without the club actually changing hands. The entire ownership of Swansea Football LLC could actually change without anyone ever knowing. The ‘club’ would have been ‘sold’ and yet it could all be done without any reporting. Each of the investors could describe themselves as ‘minority owners’ (remember the US actress doing so some time ago). It’s technically true but they don’t own shares in the club, they own them in the investment vehicle that owns the club. Effectively the same as having a unit trust investment which in turn owns loads of shares. You can cash in and out of unit trusts which indirectly makes you a shareholder of the companies in which it invests, but it’s not quite the same as owning shares directly. Foe those interested in such things, the club (Swansea City 2002 Ltd) has to report full details of its shares and who owns them every year in what is called a ‘confirmation statement’. Publicly available to all. Shareholders haven’t changed for a while (since Dineen sold his remaining percentage). Additionally, anyone with ‘significant control’ has to be reported. It used to be, for example, that Levien and Kaplan had ‘significant control’ (as they managed the investment fund and sat in the board of the club). Kaplan no longer does. Also under football rules, anyone with over 10% of the club has to be reported by the club. In this case it’s Kaplan and Levien (as managers of Swansea Football LLC investment) and the Trust. The ‘owners’ of Swansea Football LLC are not public other than when they make it known as this person has.

I read somewhere there was a Price Waterhouse Cooper man on the Trust. I suggest the two management consultant meet up over some New York bagels and orangina and come to some sort of consensus. They will be by definition smart cookies and well versed in working together for the common good (or in their case profit for thier causes).

The trouble is, this disagreement spilling into other threads . Perhaps just have the one to continue the pros and cons of the potential Trusts legal action ?

There were one or two that came on board after the original ‘28’. Can’t remember exactly when or who they were. May have been quite a few of course. No one would know. Which is the whole problem.

Most of the original consortium are ex bankers / investment people / fund managers. There’s a list of them here https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/full-list-27-swansea-

Granted, but for many swans fans it’s a confused picture. Tomozawa is not new news, but for many it is. He is minority investor, that many people have never spoken about at any length. The crux of the article is more about the continued interest by the main shareholders and the revelation for many they may well be acting in their own interests but the knock on effect is it’s also ‘potentially’ decent for us as committed swans followers.
