Not necessarily "a nice guy", but not a manager with no morals and integrity who is an embarrassment to his country.

I suspect that is not the case. Ramsey has pulled out of an alarming number of international matches since Giggs took over. Bale turned up as it was a way to gain leverage over Real Madrid (which clearly worked - his Wales antics were crucial in his move away).
Most, if not all of those Welsh players will have grown up watching Wales; witnessing Ryan Giggs choose not to play in most friendlies and only turn up at competitive matches. They'll have no doubt discussed him at length when his affair was revealed as well.
I would argue there are very few football managers they respect less than Ryan Giggs. They turn up because they want to play for Wales (whether it be due to national pride or increasing their exposure to help them secure better contracts / transfers at the club level).
