For example if Wales play a 4-2-3-1 and the 3 behind the striker are Bale, Ramsey and Dan James then David Brooks and Harry Wilson might not get in the first eleven, Allen and Ampadu sitting midfielders, Neco and Davies fullbacks, a choice of centre Half's, some players of the likes of Tom Lawrence, Joniesta, Morrell, Dan Smith and Ben Woodburn might not even make a Euro or World cup squad as things stand such is the current depth if there are no injuries. Bale's picking himself? Knew there was a problem somewhere. On form over the last god knows how long he'd be on the bench behind DJ, Ramsey and Brooks if they're ever all fit together. He was shockingly bad on Thursday and not for the first time.
