I never understood why Liverpool bought him, I didn't think he fitted their style at all, but it didn't stop them winning.
I remember him being touted as the next megastar centre forward, when he went to Man City for silly money, that never happened, but a good player who played well in the 83 cup final. I think he should have shot instead of passing to Smith, who famously didn't score.
The Spanish really took him to their hearts, RIP a sad loss and much too young. |  |
