Gallagher 18:17 - Feb 22 with 5917 views | Dr_Winston | There's been a certain odd undercurrent of criticism of the lad since he got here, but isn't that something like five or six assists or big roles in goals already? Must have covered every single inch of that pitch today. Fulton being there doing the dog work for him freed him up a hell of a lot.

Gallagher on 18:52 - Feb 22 with 3287 views | Cooperman | Gallagher had a tidy game and Fulton is equally deserving of the shout out.

Gallagher on 18:57 - Feb 22 with 3262 views | Whiterockin | Gallagher needs to play AM anywhere else is a waste of his talent. He is an excellent prospect but he needs to play in his true position not as a holding midfielder as Cooper has played him in the past.
Gallagher on 19:06 - Feb 22 with 3201 views | NotLoyal | I thought he was slow in possession, and easily knocked off the ball today.

Gallagher on 19:09 - Feb 22 with 3188 views | ploppy | Fair play, apart from covering every blade of grass he put a lovely ball through to Brewster in the first half, who should have scored, and did the same for Garrick at the end.
Gallagher on 19:13 - Feb 22 with 3170 views | Luther27 | Had a good game. Is energetic and his vision and pass for Garrick goal was excellent. I'll be very sorry to see him go.
Gallagher on 19:17 - Feb 22 with 3151 views | 3swan | Let's not forget it's his first season in senior football. Regular starter for Charlton and for us. Still learning, let's hope he doesn't suffer burn out before the end of the season.
Gallagher on 19:29 - Feb 22 with 3102 views | jack247 | Totally agree with the op. Fulton may be limited, but he’s the best dog we have. Thought Gallagher and Grimes both looked better today with him doing the dirty work. Gallagher had a very good game | | | | Login to get fewer ads

One of the biggest black marks against Cooper this season has been his consistent selection of a woefully ineffective Byers when he's had Fulton available. Jay isn't a great player by any stretch, but he contributes more than Byers in physicality alone.

Noted a few uncharacteristically deft touches from Fulton today too and took his goal well, got a foot higher than everybody else. Midfield certainly looked better balanced with him in it today.

Fulton impressed me today but he can't do what he does for 90 minutes which is a shame. I though that he managed his game quite well after being booked though but his best game doesn't suit being on a booking. Back to the OP, Gallagher gave us excellent energy today but also couldn't quite maintain it throughout. No disrespect though, he's played a lot of minutes lately. The boy will go far hopefully.
Gallagher on 20:10 - Feb 22 with 2945 views | ploppy | Not sure what formation we were playing today. In the first half at times it looked like 4-4-1-1, with Gallagher being the 1 behind Brewster. Don't know if you'd call that a traditional number 10 role, but I couldn't imagine Celina doing what Gallagher did today - despite people calling for Celina to play more centrally. Byers certainly couldn't play that role - he simply doesn't have the energy. As well as covering loads of ground he created two great chances with his through balls - one that Brewster should have scored and the other that Garrick did.
Gallagher on 20:12 - Feb 22 with 2939 views | krunchykarrot | Gallagher played well today going to be a good player. First half he closed down on the press with Ayew Brewster and believe it or not Kululu who made more tackles than all of them.

Kalulu's problem this season hasn't been exclusive to him. We have a multitude of players who get a game in the first team, then the very next week find themselves out of the starting team, sometimes out of the squad entirely. How the hell does Cooper expect players to find form if they're not playing, or that uncertain of their place in the matchday squad? The constant chopping and changing of personnel and systems in no way helps the players to adjust and adapt to a style of play that they become comfortable with and therefore more effective in. The massive irony is that those few players who have consistently held onto their place in the team (like Grimes and Byers) are often the worst performers week in, week out. I think only Andre Ayew has played in most games and actually deserved to.

Gallagher on 21:10 - Feb 22 with 2742 views | icecoldjack | Fulton has been the same player today as he's been for most of the season it's just that most fans dont see it and that includes the manager ! Most of the players are getting messed around rotten too, which does nothing for cohesion and confidence, this is where Fulton,Routs,Celina and few others are at . Look at how Naughton gets better with a consistent run of games, like I've said before, Cooper has a good squad of players to work with and is doing a below average job. Great attitude from all our players today, deserved the win, but god we made it hard for ourselves and that's a real worry going forward .
Gallagher on 21:25 - Feb 22 with 2688 views | jackrabbit | SwansTV commentator made him man-of-the-match. He played well - slid one lovely pass through to Brewster who nearly scored from it. I think he brings a lot to our midfield. For one thing he’s willing to pass forward!

Probably none of it. It's just that his default setting is to be a tedious berk and he can't really help himself. Quite sad really. Approaching fifteen years of making a consistent arse of himself on Planetswans and still no sign of self-awareness kicking in. Even Perchy had the common sense to take a step back.
