I don't really care what anyone else thinks on this forum and i know my feelings are going to offend many on here, but i've just heard the news, and cracked a bottle of champagne i was given as a present!!
The woman was a scumbag, the woman single handidly ripped the heart and soul out of England, made communities turn on one another, pressed ahead with her Reganomics, privatised key industries so a select few could do well.
I'm sure there will be plenty giving it rejoice but plenty of others who can sensibly appreciate her leadership.
I only ever took exception to The Pay Party Act.... Wrong 'un that was!
Amongst other things, created the house buying obsession that pushed prices up way beyond what they are actually worth. I don't see countries around the rest of Europe having the high property prices we do.
Also went into war in order to save her own politcial neck. As well as costing millions and millions, it killed loads of soldiers and to this day the relationship with Argentina hasn't fully healed when it was pretty much OK beforehand.

She won't be missed by me.

Well done Thatch.Bought me Carnsil Arssss. Who said Capitalism don't work.
And saved the country from a humiliating bankruptcy in the late 70's/early 80's as a result of yet another over spending Labour Party. A bankrupt UK would have had a hell of a lot more social effect on communities than anything that Thatcher did, just look at Greece today to see this. I conviction politician, which whether people like her or not, had ideals which she thought was best for the country as opposed best for her popularity. Unlike Blair, who incidentally also had a war which killed millions more than the Falklands (who have just voted to remain British), and which is still killing people today.
She may have been a wrong 'un but to say she started a war with Argentina is ridiculous. I will have a glass of champers tonight and say good riddance. How she managed to con so many people into believing her from 1979 onwards is beyond belief.
The Sun will no doubt have a 20 page spread tomorrow with Kelvin McKenzie and Nick Ferrari shown in tears.

If you think along those lines then surely Tony Blair is responsible for more deaths?
