Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 19:56 - May 17 with 2836 views | olderR | I guess they hate us 'cos we left them behind. I could never understand why we spent so many years singing anti Chelsea songs when we weren't playing them, unless it was because we were left behind. Don't get me wrong I don,t like Chelsea but; Brentford always were and always will be my number 1 enemy. When, as a lad you watch two consecutive away defeats 64/65 2-5 and 65/66 1-6 you tend to be scarred for life!
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 20:01 - May 17 with 2829 views | WallyRanger | I like Brentford, I have a few friends who support them and they always say something about how we think we're bigger than we are and stuff, which is funny because I'm of the opinion that we realise how lucky we are to be in the premiership really. I've always known how much they hate us though, it really eats them up inside when I point out that they couldn't even beat us when we were really sh!te and it eats them up inside more knowing their hatred isn't reciprocated
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 22:47 - May 17 with 2741 views | PeterHucker | 10 years ago, I was in a small town in South Korea wandering around with my Rs top on and some idiot comes over and starts giving me a load of grief. "moan moan moan you stole Martin Rowlands moan moan moan." Typical bloody Brentford fan. Whenever I meet a Brentford fan, I always do the same thing. When they tell me who they support, I just say "who?" and then keep going with the pretence I've never heard of them. It really annoys them. You have to do it with a straight face though.
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 22:59 - May 17 with 2726 views | MrSheen | I used to go there as a kid about 1980, when I was first allowed to go to football, as some of the schoolfriends in Ealing supported them - when you could get in for about £1.50, it would be them one week, Rangers another. The football was better at Loftus Road, obviously, but it was fun running around the Royal Oak with a Wagon Wheel and a Brown Ale and getting up close to watch the six-a-side punch-ups with Reading, or getting chased by hordes from either Sheffield. It was the journey from Willesden that tipped me over to Rangers, luckily. I quite like going there once in a while.
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 00:17 - May 18 with 2698 views | SpiritofGregory | Blimey Brentford, their poor fans have really suffered over the years. Hopefully Fulham will spiral down the leagues, that will give them a nice derby to look forward to.
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 04:16 - May 18 with 2678 views | SydneyRs | There used to be a lot of banter with Brentford on the old rivals board when we were both in the 3rd tier. I even ran into one of their rivals posters randomly while watching and England world cup game here in Sydney. Those who remember those days will recall one particularly irritating and obsessed poster by the name of Sweepy or Sweepy Bee. His oft repeated catchphrase was "QPR LOSERS ARE GOING DOWN" and he would bombard our board with his nonsense. He had to tone down his act a bit when someone discovered his identity and revealed it on the message board. He ended up turning up for a football game between some of our lot and theirs and somebody shaved QPR into the back of his hair afterwards! I think it was a forfeit for losing the game or something. Anyone who was there recall it? Anyway I can only imagine how much he was hurting when we survived Also from the same time there was an ongoing message board battle with certain Bristol City posters, in particular around their hopelessly over optimistic promotion calculator. Some of them would defo be hurting too, as would the Hull City "DQPR" brigade. Happy days!
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 07:23 - May 18 with 2647 views | LowerloftLad | We are a bigger club better players better history and a premier league club. I think they beat everton a few years back can anyone else tell me what they have done in the last 5 years,

yeah, I remember that, bloody good forum that one. As for Sweepy, what a plonker he was.... TBH, Div 1 did give me a few more grey hairs, but it was a bloody good time to be an R, the support was solid. Can't say whether it's like that now at LR as I've been in Aus for six plus years, but I hope so. UUURRRRssssss

I think Fulham first used their "We'll never play you again" song on Brentford. Right so far.

That's easy. Finish in the bottom four and get relegated to League two.

I remember that. I used to spend a lot of time winding up that Sweepy guy, he was (and I'm sure still is) a 24 carat pillock. I got banned a couple of times for that. (I was WestLondonLaLaLa back in those days). I remember that Sweepy bloke crapping himself when it was revealed that he was running as a local councillor and we threatened to report some of the stuff he'd said (racist stuff, ill-advised jibes about paedophiles etc)
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 11:07 - May 18 with 2556 views | sexton | It pains me to say it but instead of becoming a fourth generation Hoop, my son decided to support Brentford. Partly because they are our local team, and partly because I'm married to a Liverpool fan and he didn't want to decide between us. We go to most games at Griffin Park and sure enough they do hate us, which was quite a shock at first because I'd never paid any attention to them at all.
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 12:49 - May 18 with 2523 views | Bluce_Ree | Bless them. They say the same things about us as we say about Fulham (that we're some sort of bunch of posh metrosexuals or something) but hate us as much as we hate Chelsea. Still, they are an eloquent bunch on that forum. I like them. I think I'll root for them in League One now as they remind me of us when we were in that division. Bless. They should sign the mighty Stefan if they want to get to our level.
| Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. |

Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 13:12 - May 18 with 2505 views | queensparker | I used to go down to Brentford quite a lot in the Jamie Bates / Dean Holdsworth / Nicky Forster era as had a few mates who supported them from Ealing. I was about the only person at Rangers who knew who Andy Sinton was when we bought him off them, and I could confirm it was a good signing! Was a good laugh, I even remember when about 30 of us went to York away as our mate lived up there, and we were basically the entire away support (what a dump of a ground that was) All this QPR hating seems like a recent thing to me, I don't remember hearing a peep out of them about us in all that time (late 80s / early 90s). The modern football fan is a much more bitter man...
Bitter Brentford Forum: QPR Thread on 13:43 - May 18 with 2415 views | LowerloftLad | There fans are nuts there saying the 3 sides who went down where all rubbish. and mark hughes is not good enough to bring in big name players so ciise and zamora are not big names haha maybe we should sign a few of there big name players like ????
