Swansea City sink closer to those relegation spots after another poor display 15th Mar 2025 19:01
Whatever they say in a pre match huddle it didn’t work for Swansea City this afternoon. With little threat and no ability either on the ball or in front of goal this game was over after three minutes at the Swansea.com. 0

we are in trouble - on and off the pitch and the warning signs have been there for some time.
The home fixtures after Leeds are crucial but I am not sure we have any experience to get us out of this mess.

Clubs below us are picking up points and if we hadn’t got those 2 wins we would be in the relegation places. We’ve had some dreadful results against some of the teams below us,we can’t afford to lose the Derby and Plymouth games,if we do it will be ominous going into the final games as we can’t seem to handle pressure

O'Brien wasn't his usual self today, is form had dropped off a cliff from where it had been.

I'll forgive him for having a bad day at the office just hope it doesn't continue, cause we need him at his best for the up and coming games after the International break.

Leeds is a write off. After that, I’d expect us to pick a few points up. Our squad is clearly limited, but we’re capable of putting it together often enough.

All our home games look very winnable and today was the first time under Sheehan we didn’t really compete.

A lot of work to be done in the summer though. We don’t have the best form in recent transfer windows.

Having reconsidered I think Liam has been a bit harsh, and yes 2-0 against a top championship team may not look that bad. Burnley though never really looked worried.

The premier league wealth is slowly but surely creeping into the Championship, there's the haves and the have nots creeping into it.

Sorry Keith and Max, but today had nothing to do with Premiership money or how good Burnley were.
More a case of how very poor we were.
We looked totally devoid of ideas and 100% full of mistakes.
I would say that any team in the Championship would have won given the way we played today

It time to smell the coffee.we.are bang in trouble. Since relegation from the prem the squad has got worse every year and smaller. Reality is every year there is constant change at the club. We cannot afford to lose to Derby and there should be no excuses if we do. Just hope if we do stay up is that we find an owner to steer us in the right direction.

Sheehan has coached them to play differently since taking charge and it has a lot of the time made games more enjoyable. But the passing in yesterday's game and last Saturday was atrocious. It gives the impression they haven't done any work in what is such a basic part of the game.

I said in another thread that I don't want Sheehan to get the job. I want an experienced Champ manager which hopefully the new owners will see as the best option to stop the slide even if it will cost more. We should remember that AS is almost totally inexperienced at this level. Is it twelve games now in the two spells ?

We started quite brightly but You could see the first goal knocked the confidence out of them and we were shaky for the next 20 minutes, the second goal was a comedy pinball moment that could have been cleared but wasn’t. We did have some chances, the header being the best of them but we didn’t take a chance and shoot around the box when we had sights on goal, like we were trying to walk it in , Vipotnik will shoot on sight to be fair but nobody follows up for a rebound or parry
I’d prefer to see Bianchini start instead of Cullen,he’s got real pace and gives more options, also rest Ronald and give Parker or Ginelly a start

If we are going more direct it's pointless playing a "10" we are better off 4-4-2. Regarding Ronald, with 8 games remaining did you mean rest or drop. TBH it's all instrumental until the decision is made this week as to whether Sheehan is here until the end of season or not.

Make no bones about it, we have been left in a mess by those that have left, as the gap narrows, those below will put in an effort, our lot need to do the same and a bit more.

It's just the first poor display since Sheehan has been in charge. No need to panic

It sets in a confidence drainer, as others are on a boost....it could get nasty.
