Well myself and my son left with 13 minutes to go but not to watch the egg. It was very disappointing, the football that is. 13,679 today apparently but a lot of people were leaving even before we'd left our seats. Was that the rugby or just boredom and frustration?

The hope of a couple of weeks ago has disintegrated. As a club I can't see where we are going. Caretaker manager, Caretaker chairman, team patched up with loan players. It's very hard for supporters to get behind the team. We need some indication of hope from the club, but they say nothing. It's not a good look for whoever they are trying to attract.

Agreed, if Coleman is going he should just do it. We cannot go into next season in this slipshod manner.

He’ll never grasp how irritating it is to get back from a game like that, to see someone who hasn’t bothered for years, criticising the attendance or atmosphere. I’m sure the same applies to the Wales fans who still show up despite losing 15 or so on the bounce.

I have never seen the ground as empty as it was yesterday at the final whistle. I think the day of the "Swansea till I die" supporters has long gone. Just another phrase with no real meaning to the majority.

Realistically there are about 4000 Swansea til i die supporters. Those are the sort that went to the Vetch through the worst periods. The problem that we are going through is that we have had 7 years of the same division and finishing mid table. We are very mediocre, uninspiring and people are bored of it. The Championship is probably the most boring division. The teams that come down are invariably the ones that go up. It requires a lot of investment and luck to break into the top 6. Which leaves most teams hovering around mid table for years.

I disagree that the championship is the most boring division. Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton spent many years in the lower divisions but are now slowly becoming established premier league clubs. Luton came down from the premier league last season and are now in danger of dropping into division 1. Even with our squad earlier in the season we were in touching distance of the top 6, with the right additions and management team we could easily have been challenging for promotion.

We were an established Premier league club having been there for 7 seasons. Then the inevitable happened. Last seasons pro.oted clubs are coming straight back. This seasons promoted teams will be 2 of the relegated clubs

There is often a team that goes up who didn't come down. Ipswich last season, Luton the season before. It's how your finances are structured when you come back down. We had an excellent chance to go back up our first couple of seasons back in the championship. The complete lack of British football understanding by our owners cost us badly. One team going up this season will be one who didn't come down last season, don't write off Coventry or Sunderland winning the play offs.

The biggest mistake ownership made was letting Jenkins run wild with the finances. We weren't in a position to try and keep the squad together and bounce straight back up. Believe me, I know. When Jenkins and Co were sole owners they kept a tight grip on the money. As soon as it was someone elses cash he was splashing he went mad. Excessive wages/fees, no relegation clauses. The lot. Even with the parachute payments our outgoings over a 2/3 year period far exceeded our likely income. We had no choice but to slash and burn or we could well have lost the club.

We had earned a lot of money in the Premier league, a lot went on the facilities, but clearly very little on building a scouting network. The resigning of Ayew and Bony for excessive fees and wages, shows how little options we had.

If we hadn't gone back up then we'd have been utterly screwed. Gambling the clubs future on immediate promotion back was a non-starter. Our finances weren't structured to deal with relegation post 2016. Before that they were. Ultimately ownership was to blame for not keeping a tight reign on Jenkins, but he's the one responsible for it. [Post edited 16 Mar 12:46]

You may be right about Jenkins but when did he leave ? 4, maybe 5 years ago ? The way the club has been run since is nothing short of criminal. Hopefully the current owners are learning from the mistakes of the time aince the Yanks bought the club and will not make the same mistakes
