Prices for next season 09:00 - Mar 11 with 911 views | PatfromPoole | What do we think? There surely must be a fairly significant increase looming for THE WALL, after Parsons' decision to heavily incentivise people to move into it for this season. At the risk of being a turkey voting for Christmas, I am hoping there is quite a big increase in the price in THE WALL. Might help get some cleansing to sift out a lot of the Allez Allez Allez song merchants and phone addicts. If I were Parsons I would drop the prices for the rest of the ground by at least 10%, and increase THE WALL by at least £100 for the season. A season ticket at £599 for 23 home games is £26 per game. A relative bargain for a season of HIGH OCTANE thrills and spills.

As I said in another thread. "We have to see if Sporrs is the man, if only because we have no other choice, this is the modern day, owners don't just leave because the fans chant "Sack the board" selling a football club is not easy, but you can walk away and not throw anymore money at it and the clubs that have that happen to them have major problems" Not disagreeing with your viewpoint, but I don't think they will be going anywhere soon, even if they wanted to. Saints don't have the monopoly on f*cking up, Leicester has supposedly great owners, so do Ipswich. yet they are in exactly the same position as us.

Agree, I just don’t see Dragan or Sport Republic selling up. The irony of it all is that these guys have actually put some money in, it’s just (sadly) that the signings etc have all been a car crash. Whilst I was not for or against Gao, those years of underinvestment ultimately cost us although one must admit, he didn’t do too bad by continuing to retain our PL status.

We had a core of solid Prem players when Gao came to the club. Players like Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Hjogjberg, Bertrand, Tadic, Redmond, Cedric, Shane, Austin, Forster. They carried us through the sticky period under Pellegrino / Hughes, and Hassenhutl had an impact in his first couple of years. I don't think Dragan was so lucky in inheriting the squad that were at the club when he bought the club.

Totally agree. Selling a football club takes time. Even more so when it’s not in the riches of The Premier League. Renewing my Season Ticket (or not) is far easier. Sport Republic won’t get anymore of my money until I see a change. The firesale and redundancies will soon be under way.

Ironically those 10 players mentioned were probably the ones that received the most stick from Saints fans on social media and this message board, during the period 2016-20. I think all were a little harshly judged, but if you were picking a team of whipping boys/scapegoats 2016-20 this would have been the foundation of it

Given one of the big parts of doing it was to reduce policing costs I wouldn't be surprised to see them keep season tickets there down so people don't move over because we'll be playing the skates. Personally i feel like paying a bit more to get away from the mouth breathers is well worth the cost though

Hoedt wasn't in my list, but he was right up there for stick, and arguably deservedly so. Did Romeu ever get stick??

I'm not sure they can justify reducing policing costs when you think of some of the possible visitors next season.... Skates Millwall Cardiff Birmingham Wrexham Leeds All may end up being in the Championship next season, and all would merit a policing presence significantly above any current Prem oppo.

Yeah but it's MUCH cheaper to police, even to police high risk games, when you have the away fans kept away from the main home end. Especially since the game against the skates will probably be a bubble so they'll be bused into the bit behind the chapel, kept sectioned off from everyone and then only really be visible in the ground.

Why would the skates game be a bubble? They've pretty much done away with those altogether now haven't they?

Still a few around, as he's mentioned Cardiff/Swansea, Burnley/Blackurn, Newcastle/Sunderland and i think Millwall/Leeds are all still bubbles. Would guess fairly strongly that ours will be too, especially given what happened at Fratton in the cup.
Prices for next season on 16:14 - Mar 11 with 446 views | InTimeAddedOn | Just wondering, am I right in thinking that the allocation of tickets for away fans will be reduced to 2,000 next season? If so, does that mean that some of the fans forcibly moved from seats in the Kingsland some had occupied since the ground first opened could potentially return to their old seats? Or will that away section just stay the same size? Obviously if we went back up again it would have to be extended again so perhaps I have answered my own question, but, if we do only give 2,000 to away teams next season just wondering what happens to the extra seats?

If I read it right it is a minium of 2000, but some clubs do reciprocal deals that can raise it to 3000. So guess the away end will stay as it is. What's the betting Pompey will only give use 2000, but Saints will say here's 3000!!

Yeah it's only 2k needed to be given to away teams, i'd assume for games like the skates the extra 1k will be used to create segregation blocks instead. Similar to how they did for us in the league cup, albeit those blocks ended up getting "used" because we had more than a few who got in on the 2-4-1 deal

No £30 price cap for away fans either. Seem to remember Leeds and QPR were two of the worst last season for this.

Prices for next season on 16:58 - Mar 11 with 385 views | InTimeAddedOn | Thanks guys, guess the away section stays as it is then. Yeah, I can just see Saints doing something stupid like giving the Skates 3k in return for nothing extra at their dive. Hopefully the Hampshire police would step in and limit it? Maybe? Hopefully? as 3k of their 6 toed inbreds anywhere near our City is about 2,990 too many! As for away pricing surely it is not beyond our Club to be proactive rather than reactive and price away fans like for like before a ball is kicked at the start of the season. Then, if an opponent wants to make us a Platinum grade game when we visit and charge us £50 each we do the same but subsidise the ticket costs for Saints fans when going to the away game from the excess we charge their fans when visiting us. Revolutionary 😀

Last season we stupidly gave a 3000 allocation to all away fans at ours, until sometime into the New Year when the club seemed to suddenly realise we didn’t have to. For the remainder of the season, we gave no-one more than 2000. I’m all for us giving 3000, but only if it’s reciprocated. Same with away ticket prices; do them for £20-£30 if the favour is returned.
