How could it happen? Look around you. Look at the people you work with, your friends, the people on the telly, the drivers on the road.

There are incompetent idiots everywhere in every field, in every workplace in every facet of society.

One ship was stationary, a lot easier to hit if you are an idiot.

Turns out it could be very, very nasty, the errant ship is carrying Sodium Cyanide, lets hope it foesn't leak. The USA ship is carrying aviation fuel for the USA military.

Horrendous incident, it’s amazing that 36 out of the 37 crew have survived. That container ship travelling at 16 knots, almost 19 mph, and striking the oil tanker which was stationary at anchor would have caused a devastating collision.
The environmental damage caused by this incident could be devastating.

So very iffy online reporting suggest a pre planned sabotage event on a US registered vessel which was at anchor in the North Sea when it was ploughed into and caught fire .

Where are Mulder and Scully when you need them . conspiracy theories will abound .

Mulder was last seen at Go Ahead Eagles, and I think Scully is at Colchester.

Is there any suspicion of Russian involvement? Yesterday Russia formally accused the UK of malicious interference on their state affairs.

This type of accident could be an indication of increasing anger against the UK.

Unlike you to have wild conspiracy theories, a wild guess it's the captain of the cargo ship Solong

It just seems so convenient. Russia wants to hit UK but dare not do it directly killing people. What about a deliberate accident and an environmental disaster to give them something think about?

How about the ship was on auto pilot, there's no turning on the sea, and the captain slept or something else and it was to late.

It was doing 16 knots and showed no sign of slowing

Its easy it's the LCB

Luck, Confidence, Bullshit and as long as that cycle continues your laughing but once one of the LCB stops you're fecked.

My brother was a contractor for the MOD and floated his luck for over 3yrs getting paid 70K a year but didn't have a clue what he was doing just passed emails along and agreed with the majority in meetings and zoom calls.
They send them to Cyprus for meetings for a week, they had one meeting then sat on the beach for 6 days

I thought so. They promised us retaliation for using our missiles to strike inside Russia.

It's a statement to us and Europe, we can sail through your waters, and hit you at any time we like and there's nothing you can do about it.

They are a terrorist state and always have been. Poisoning people in our country and creating numerous environmental disasters.

I do not know why you support them. That's your business.

May be a two for the price of one here. The ship sailed under the US flag and any environmental impact will be borne by the UK.

Though why the Russians would want to anger their BFF Trump now remains a mystery!

There is no indication war ever Russia wants peace. The attacks have declined. They stats they want the whole of the four big southern and southeast Oblasts. Some might want to scupper any prospective peace talks.

They gave a good quota of fruitcakes I suspect.

Professor Sachs is a useful idiot. He criticises uSA quote rightly but does not share the blame with the FSB and the Russians state. I suspect he cannot criticise them because it is in his contract. Perhaps he fear that if he goes off script he will have to bring his own water teabags and kettle.

Unfortunately over the last 30 years the west has not done good housekeeping. The Iraq WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction ) fiasco was one of the reasons Western publics gave lost faith in their Governments.

The BBC told the truth via Dr David Kelly and expert from the Rhondda. He was found dead in a ditch and Tony Blair cleared of all blame. The BBC chief had to resign and UK and America invaded Iraq and found no WMD.

Iraq was an unstable place with typical Islamic fractions funded by Iran and Saudi. The break up of central control lead to 2 million dead which the like of Galloway attributes entirely to the USA and UK.

It was a false flag if that is the correct meaning. They actually could have gone in simply to arrest Saddam on the charges of mass murder and been honest about it in hindsight.
Since then public faith in their Governments have waned. This allied to Russian propaganda social media and cowardly young out of shape youth, sees US support for Ukraine waning. UK does not seem so worried so far.

Dr David Kelly was hauled before the HoC committee and treated very harshly by both Labour and Conservative MPs. He was a whistle blower. He needs a statue in Maerdy. He was humiliated and his pension came under scrutiny by the w cowardly committee. In hindsight from his grave he should have told them to "eff off" and fronted up. As a younger man he might have.

Controversial Jack and Mongo whatever are a product of the is cynicism. They cannot believe anything from Western governments and consequently look for guidance off the fruitcakes of the FSB who are more bonkers. Galloway and Proff Sachs believe if you are going to back a lunatic then back a weak one while collecting a gratuity of some sort.
