Currently getting stuffed again and bottom of the league on 9 points from 27 games. The bottom three in the Premier League are the ones who went up. Luton went up, came down and look like going out the bottom. Within the current football structure is promotion really worth it? Yes there always has to be an aim to be the best you can. But is it more important to have a sound development strategy within a club to build a sustainable future if you go up and come down, rather than just build a squad for promotion.

The aim is any team going up is to finish 4th bottom and build from there.

And they are failing spectacularly.

Would still want to go up. Only this time not spend so idiotically that the benefit of parachute payments are lost.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Better to try and be that yo-yo team and build slowly, including extending the stadium. It's a long term plan and firdt time around we had a really good chance if only we'd extended and got more fans tied in.

Coleman has a lot of learning to do if that's his aim.

Southampton's problem was they relied on a manager who put himself above the club, a manager who'd rather lose his way than win a different way.

Southampton's main problem has been that their recruitment in recent years has been incredibly poor.
They were successful for a few years buying really well & selling high, once that started going wrong they struggled & got relegated.
RM being a bit of a tw@t hasn't helped but they've been on a downward spiral for a few years
