Preston North End v Swansea City : Match day thread 20:39 - Feb 25 with 9392 views | ModeratorC | Swans are ready for Preston test : Bodde, James loans n’all 2nd Mar 2025 08:00The Swans will be at Deepdale the home of Preston North End this coming Tuesday evening. The Lillywhites dumped Burnley out of the FA Cup yesterday to move into the Quarter Finals. The Swans will have had at least seven good days working with interim head coach, Alan Sheehan on the run up to this fixture. 0 Swansea City : Sheehan dips his toe into the manager pool 3rd Mar 2025 14:41Alan Sheehan and his Swansea squad head north later today for a fixture against Preston North End (7:45pm) at Deepdale, Lancashire. And his mind seems to be occupied with not only the next four games before the international break, but potentially having conversations about the permanent manager role. 1 ‘Let’s beat Swansea’ - That’s it ! Full pre match this morning 4th Mar 2025 07:30Preston North End manager, Paul Heckingbottom is defiant in his comments that tonight’s game against Swansea City (7:45pm) is far more important than their forthcoming FA Cup tie against Aston Villa. It’s most certainly an attempt to take his players minds of that tie to concentrate on the league. And with so many glory hunters around their talk is most certainly aimed at the big game rather than tonight. 0 Four points from six as the Swans battle hard for a point at Deepdale 4th Mar 2025 23:59Scrappy it may have been at times but both sides put in maximum effort in this encounter beneath the lights in Preston. It won’t be remembered as the finest game of football, but you really do get the feeling this was a game the Swans would have lost before Luke Williams departure. 0

Preston North End v Swansea City : Match day thread on 08:45 - Feb 26 with 5415 views | Azzuriswan | Seems only just over 100 tickets sold to away fans for this long Tuesday night trek up north. If it had been the Saturday there would have been hundreds up there with some spending the weekend in Blackpool no doubt. Still if we continue as we did on Saturday against Blackburn we can make it 2 games without defeat surely. Swans to win 2 nil.

Preston usually do pay on the day, keep an eye out for it.

Preston North End v Swansea City : Match day thread on 13:59 - Mar 2 with 3610 views | bonymine | Been fortunate to have been at Deepdale for both the 1981 Div 1 promotion game and ‘that’ Ferrie goal ; watching that shot fly in from behind the goal was a thing of beauty seemed to be in the air for an age !! Beast of a player with incredible unfulfilled potential remember seeing him break down in front of the South Stand in his comeback game against Birmingham I think it was very sad indeed 😔

Bodde one of the best , I remember watching him playing for the u23's v I think Arsenal down at the Scarlets new ground which we used then whilst waiting for landlord to be completed, he ran the show but broke down there as well ,I can't remember him playing for us after that evening .

Preston North End v Swansea City : Match day thread on 19:25 - Mar 2 with 3332 views | Dr_Winston | Never quite sure whether Bodde would have kicked on in a higher league or become another Shelvey. Like Jonjo he had no shortage of talent but by all accounts wasn't heavily blessed in the IQ department.

That was the first premier league season when he was in the squad. Played in two friendlies, not sure if that was the last one though. Could have been.

My favourite player (next to Trunds). He had it all like Keane. He could score, tackle, worked his socks off and his attitude was incredible. Will never know if he could have made it in Prem but I personally think he'd have walked it.

It will for sure but we are going in to it with a bit of confidence after last week, a good rest and time to get things right on the training ground and hopefully against a side who may react like it’s a game after The Lord Mayor’s Show. I’ll take a draw all day long though.

This game is definitely winnable, I predict a 1 -2 win for the swans.
