Wind power is important 17:52 - Feb 23 with 1514 viewsReslovenSwan1

Right wing people hate wind power for some reason. Everyone knows It does not blow everyday and it can go several days without wind. Germans call it 'Dunkelflaute'.

You can follow the percentage of (I presume) electricity generation with this app.

https://www.energydashboard.co.uk/live

Close in 50% wind power. Welsh does not get it's fair share of the generation fees to help us become economically self sustainable.

Only 20 Billion barrels of oil at 317kg of CO2 per barrel. That's 6.34 Trillion Kgs of C02.

Over the term of the BP contract that's equivalent to half of what the UK produces in the way of CO2 in each year of the contract.

So a UK company has just agreed to increase CO2 by the equivalent of 50 percent of what the UK produces

A standard barrel of oil weighs around 136kg?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I'm no chemist, but it appears that each carbon atom attracts two oxygen atoms when the fuel is used to produce CO2, so increasing the mass.

The vast majority use gas for heating. I don't know anyone who doesn't.

Heat pumps are rubbish btw, expensive to install too. It would take years to get your money back

Same here. I did know someone who converted to electric radiatorsā€¦spent a fortune converting back to gas after the first winterā€¦.and bill!
Heat pumps may be good for new builds with walls and ceilings about three foot thick with insulated materials. To me however it is yet another Govt con along the lines of gas is best for heating and less pollutingā€¦diesel is the best fuel compared to petrol etc.

They want to cut down on cattle because their farting is affecting climate change, so they want us to eat beans insted.

There are 60 million people in the UK, I wonder what will happen to their farts ?

What circus did they find these clowns that run our country.

There's a common theme here , farming and the dismantling of it , we'll be seeing the return of famines if the have their way ,a way to separate those and the have nots . If a so called civilised country such as ours can blatantly remove financial help from its elderly ,make it financially unattractive to save, promote food banks as if its an acceptable way of life for many ,then we do have a problem .

Iā€™m uncertain about the right wing claim as much as I would be if it were the left.

Which neither exist anymore.
