Full Swansea City restructure 15:00 - Feb 19 with 3697 views | KeithHaynes | OS Swansea City AFC is excited to announce a restructuring of its leadership team, aimed at strengthening the club's financial, operational and strategic capabilities. The restructuring follows the news of Richard Montague joining this week as Director of Football and includes the introduction of a new Chief Operating Officer. Tom Gorringe has joined Swansea City AFC as Chief Operating Officer. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at Bristol Rovers, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. Tom has a reputation for demonstrating strong financial management at his previous clubs, improving the infrastructure, increasing revenues, driving the matchday experience whilst also ensuring operational efficiency. His extensive background in football will be an asset to the club. Ken Gude will assume the role of Executive Director and Company Secretary, transitioning from his previous role as Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy. His new position will allow him to further drive the club's strategic initiatives and football operations, while also liaising at the League level and coordinating with key stakeholders. Gerard Cassidy, who has been with Swansea City for a decade, has been promoted to the role of Financial Controller. Ben Greenwood, another long-serving Swansea City employee, has been promoted to Head of Football Operations and Administration. Chairman, Andy Coleman, said: “We are making changes to our leadership team to improve our performances on and off the pitch. There will always be a period of transition after a takeover, and we’ve been busy working to spot the gaps and areas that we need to improve to take this club forward.” The Club’s updated Executive Management Team will consist of Ken Gude, Tom Gorringe, Andrew Davies, Richard Morris, and Richard Montague. This restructuring is part of Swansea City AFC's ongoing commitment to building a high-performing organisation that can achieve sustainable success.

It is the best PR stunt going,1 in 4-5 kids will want to go back with their parents. That is where the future season tickets are. They need to get that family stand full again for starters.

I think the most important thing is for the side to play attractive football to bring back supporters (like me). The Martin & Williams years have been the most dour boring football in my 40 plus years of watching the Swans. Personal opinion of course.

Sousa played an important role. He lay down the defensive foundations for Brendan. I hope these new appointments work out. Do they have the experience at this leve? Not sure. And I have watched Montague's interview and he is saying the same things as Mark Allen and Paul Watson. Lets see if he can deliver.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Full Swansea City restructure on 07:21 - Feb 20 with 1433 views | Dr_Winston | Sousa did what he could with what he had available. People seem to forget that he improved on our league position of the season before despite taking over a team shorn of it's best striker and creative midfielder, never mind a decimated coaching and scouting staff and chairman showing the first signs of an attitude problem. Oh, and a club captain trying to undermine him from behind. It wasn't fun, but it was effective and Rodgers had a lot to thank him for when he took over. I for one have always appreciated the work he did here. Had we snuck promotion and had access to Premier League wealth in any theoretical Sousa second season, we'd have had a decent chance of survival IMO. Might not have gone on to the heights we did, but we'd certainly not have embarassed ourselves. In comparison Cooper & Martin certainly had the players available to them both to play a much more entertaining style of football than they did, but chose not to. Cooper did so out of tactical preference, Martin did so because he's an idiot. [Post edited 20 Feb 7:22]

| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

True but let’s face it how many would be put off for life watching the ball go between the back 4 and CDM for most of the match? The product as to be exciting. Let’s hope that now improves.

Agree with all that. Sousa and Cooper also won a fair few games which helps.
Full Swansea City restructure on 10:24 - Feb 20 with 1032 views | PawelAbbott | There seems to be a lot of senior managerial figures at the club now. I understand that it is a multi million pound business, so there are a lot of jobs to do. But, that's a lot of budget being spent on increasing revenues when the number one factor that increases revenues for a football club is on pitch success. Having people there on big wages to squeeze another drop out of corporate boxes for a club facing relegation is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. [Post edited 20 Feb 10:49]

Got to be honest, apart from the manager and the squad, I have no clue what the rest do and goes straight over my head. Although it does amuse me when people are looking at comments on a new Director of Operations etc!!! We don't really know what's going on and it's not like they played for their previous clubs

Whatever their individual responsibilities are they have not done it well, otherwise we wouldn't be in the mess we are on and off the pitch.
