Yes it is very Machiavelian as you say and seems like America and Russia might be about to carve the Ukraine up, although no doubt some Ukraine will stay, will it be an American puppet in charge ? (is there one in charge now ?), its what America has been accused of doing since the second World War, destabilise countries, overthrow governments by backdoor means and get a puppet in
charge that is friendly to American interests.

There's hardly any chance anyway, even Russia's Oretniks would struggle. ICBM's have their own defence systems, they launch decoys. Then there's the massive number that would be launched, too many would get through even if they went all the way from the USA to Russia.
Lets face it, not that many need to get through. The USa and Russia both have in excess of 5000 nukes. If only 20% got through then it's put your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye time. You have got to be destroyed by the explosion, the fallout would be an even worse way to go. | | | |
