The crazy spiral the Swans find themselves in : Stoke City pre match14th Feb 2025 17:54 Swansea City will be travelling north from west Wales today in preparation for tomorrow afternoon’s away fixture against Stoke City. isn't Margetson our defence coach reposnisble for defending set pieces alongside being goal keeping coach?
Margetson is a decent coach but when the manager is so inept and results so bad any player could have a crisis of confidence and not do what he should.
Our defending generally was poor, at set pieces laughable, at the half way line...enough said.
Our midfield is ponderous and lacks creativity.
Our attack is virtually non existent. We get into promising positions but do next to nothing when there. Our crossing is rubbish, we don't have a player to win the headers (Cullen won't for sure and we all know that so why can't Williams see it) so the ball comes back at us, other teams aren't so slow to push out.
Williams has to go. Give the new boss at least half a chance to turn things around. The longer we wait to get rid and replace, the harder it will be for the new man to make a difference.

My thoughts too.
Right, we conceded 3 against the divisions lowest scorers, they are no longer the lowest scroers. We conceded from the oppo's half, how mnay times in a season do you see it happen at all and then there's us! We were clearly getting stuffed down our right flank, first 2 goals came from free kicks conceded that side but Williams did nothing. The football was, again, painfully slow and predictable. We had 66% possession but managed just 2 shots on target. The oppo managed 5. The performance was utterly disgusting. Those fans that travelled (and not for the first time this season) deserve having their money refunded by the manager and players. We have now had roughly 7 weeks of this dreadful rubbish. It seems clear Williams isn't too bothered, did he call the team rubbish again today? It looks like he wants to be sacked, why not, get sacked take the pay off and live an easy life.
If Williams had any deency, any honour he'd approach the owners and negotiate a leaving package. To be honest he deserves what any of us would get, 1 months notice and goodbye, don't let my boot catch your useless derriere on your way out though I will be trying.
If Luke Williams stays in charge I am fairly confident we'll get relegated.
And although only a small token should Williams stay then I'll not be renewing, dispute saying differently earlier this season I can tell when someone's taking the p++s and that's exactly what's happening .

I think Lifelong is saying that we fans in reality will not have the direct influence to get Williams sacked....though dwindling crowds will in the end signal to Coleman things need to be done
I can tell you this If the likes of Sunderland or Burnley were having this run with football that's an insult then the likes of Williams would be driven out Fact is, our spirit has been worn away It's why we tolerate this mits shy the likes of lifelong get arsey as they are worried but won't admit it We are too supine So. We just accept this We accept travelling to Stevenage rather than Sunderland

Funny enough, I am now in the other camp! I said I wouldn't get one having not renewed last season but then an offer was made I couldn't turn down.
Now I live in hope that something positive happens very soon.
Maybe at this forum enough people will be there and make their opinions known that Coleman simply cannot remain inactive re LW>

Despite being a long term critic, I actually felt sorry for him.
Chairman needs to put him out of his misery. But given the activity in the recent transfer window, not sure that is now an option as funds must be limited.

Clearly feels the game is up now.

It's a standoff, Coleman doesn't want to pay luke off, luke wants a payoff. It is like rewarding someone for failing, but that's the nature of the game.

It's like watching a bullfight, with LW constantlt goading AC every chance he gets. Look at today's Top Ten in the Xhampionship - first half of the season we went toe to toe with every one of them, comfortably. All of sudden LW says we should not even be in the Championship. Every time LW speaks he comes across as, I'll stop there because an extremely negative vew of the man was coming his way. Whatever, he is utterly useless in the role he occupies today.

ive seen some away fans footage, they didnt give the players or LW any doubt about their feelings, the non action by AC will deffo have a really bad affect on us as a club moving on, he has to act within the nect day or so, or the million hes afraid of spending will no doubt put our future in doubt.

Yes and its disgusting.
This payoff for Managers who have totally failed is a joke, you or I fail in our Jobs and its goodbye and don't come back Monday, all we get is our Month or week in hand.
That should be set in stone across the board as a set standard, it's ridiculous.

Are we that broken
Seems we are
What do you mean the likes of lifelong? Just who the f.. do you think you are?
Sunderland have recently spent a number of seasons in division one, Burnley have been up and down the divisions most of their existence, not much driving out of mangers there it seams.

You going to the meeting this week? You’ll have an opportunity to head butt the chairman and bite him as he’s going down.

Enough is enough. Last Saturdays non match nearly completely spoilt an otherwise good day trip. LW should walk but managers always seem to be paid good money for failure. Put him on gardening leave. Put Sheean and Joe in charge and see if they can get the players to play proper football again asap
