Are increasing prices by 27% from April, rising to 40% by 29/30.

The non for profit company who are amongst the worst performing in the UK!

The level of debt on bills is already the highest in the country, this is certainly not going to help

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

I would recommend anyone living alone or a couple to seriously consider a water meter. My bill was cut by 60% a month and I still do exactly the same things including taking baths, watering the lawn pressure washing ect. You have a 2 year option to revert back if you are not happy. It's a no brainer really and simple to do.

and another view no one should worry about turning a tap for fear of not being able to pay their bill and for some this news may do exactly that , out of all the utility company's I detest Water company's are top of the list , a proc duct which they do nothing to produce ,literally profit falling from the skies, an infrastructure which was build by the taxpayer and loosely maintained as and when a leak occurs , where I live there are an abundance of water workers living near by , the reason I know I see their bleeding vans parked up from dinner time onwards. The last time one of not enough main storage facilities (reservoir) for this manna from heaven was built in 1991 strangely enough before privatisation. We continually hear the bleating about how out of date the water system is ,what w exactly have they been doing , Thames water is a fine example on how to not run a company but I suppose we taxpayers will carry the can for their greed .

Water charities wanting your money for overseas aid declare clean water is a human right. That does not appear to be the case in the UK.

I have a water meter and yes will save you, but I live on my own and the standing charge on my water and sewage is almost as much as the cost of my water!

Yes they should be owned by Welsh Govt and allowed to sell water at the market rate.

Not for profit status really just allows England to take water at cost price.

Charging the fair market price for welsh water would generate billions annually for Wales.

The market rate for Welsh water, yes it would raise about 24.3 billion before tax.

When you say owned by the Welsh government, do you know who gives the abstraction licences to Dwr Cymru so they can supply the water to England?

The Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales license all Welsh Water abstractions.

Who owns NRW? The Welsh government. The Senedd is at least partly responsible for England getting cheap Welsh water.

I wonder when I see these adverts on telly telling you that a fiver a month can supply clean drinking water for a family of 4 in Eritrea - how come my water bills are so high ?!

Perhaps African Countries should give a fiver a month to the UK to help us have clean drinking water

An increase in bills of 47% by 2030, take that in

I dunno. Buying a failing company that they have no expertise in running and then spending years and countless millions propping it up sounds like a very Welsh Government thing to do.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.
