Swansea City : Luke Williams immediate future confirmed PLUS transfer bid made on 16:06 - Jan 29 with 2160 views | nantywatcher | It takes a big man to stand up and say I was wrong. About time AC man upped and admitted that he made a right pig's ear of his managerial appointment . I've been a football club director and employed managers and LW does not even come close to being good enough to manage a Championship team. Send him on his way.

Swansea City : Luke Williams immediate future confirmed PLUS transfer bid made on 16:53 - Jan 29 with 1843 views | IJM89 | I'm holding out hope that removing LW right now will only add fuel to the chaos of a January window and the club are just biding time for another week on that one. Far from defending AC, but we are something like 12 weeks on from the removal of previous ownership and had managed to get to 9th in the table just before this transfer window opened. I think most of us can agree that it looked like we would navigate our way comfortably through this season, even with a mediocre LW and make the necessary changes on all fronts in the summer. Fast forward a month and the manager has derailed that with the WBA stuff, the captain has asked to leave. I do still retain hopes for the new ownership and really hope that this has been a lesson to AC that football business moves very fast and things can change in a heartbeat. Have read that the club have lined up a DOF type, but they are having to work through a notice period at whichever club they are at, can only imagine AC and the club wished now they had acted a bit quicker on that one, given the way the last 6 weeks or so has unfolded. Hopefully it pays off. All in all, if we get this Swedish fella in and replace Darling with Low I would be fairly happy with the window. No sense with throwing good money after bad with Williams, as with any luck he will be off in the summer and we can save money for then.

I will wait and see if we were stronger before the window opened or after it closes.

Re. The Swedish player - If you sign a €3m player, don’t they tend to want the corresponding wages? Or can we get away with paying him within our structure because he’ll look to use us as a stepping stone?
Swansea City : Luke Williams immediate future confirmed PLUS transfer bid made on 17:13 - Jan 29 with 1645 views | magicdaps10 | Well it would be an absolute mess if we didn't get in 2x midfielders and a winger at least now. Obviously not taking into account if Darling also goes. We have brought in over 5M in sales/sell on fees and have now opened up wages with Grimes,Abdullai and Abbey moving on and being sent back to parent club. It's going to be an interesting 2 days. Feeling a bit uneasy this is happening in this window given we are 7 points off the drop zone.....if we had a bit more then it would have been a good opportunity to get these players in and bedded without the fear over our shoulders.

Would be ideal. Do wonder how willing Wycombe are to sell Low though, don't they get some sort of a fee even if he runs his contract down to the summer and if recent reports are to be believed, they have turned down a 6M offer for Kone, they seem very reluctant to do any selling at present.

I'd take this with a pinch of salt, but I have heard he is only on a few grand a week, so we could give him a pay rise and still be within our structure. If no one else our size and above is in for him then there is no reason he wouldn't come for the pay rise. The only players who do not look at our club as a stepping stone are journeymen looking for one last payday, I know who i'd rather us sign.

If by some miracle terms are agreed I’d still put odds on that the paperwork won’t be finalised in time.

Swansea City : Luke Williams immediate future confirmed PLUS transfer bid made on 18:16 - Jan 29 with 1341 views | max936 | What's the latest on that Leyton Orient midfielder we looked at, surely we at least need an experienced Championship or League player to come in, not those with no experience of either, we need to pull out of this rut and we need the right players to do that. Surely Coleman can see that League one is beckoning
