Started on the bench again and came on in the 82nd minute when 1-0 up. Lost 2-1, we will have to wait and see how this pans out. Possibly our coaching staff were right about him.

I'm no football expert, but even I could see that Abulai hasn't got it, maybe in the lower divisions he'll do ok and make a iving.

Our coaching staff weren't right about him being a winger, which was the main issue.

He was one of many who Williams clearly didn't have the first idea how to use. Ultimately he may have found his level as a central player, but that still doesn't excuse the negligent insanity of us playing him out wide time and time again.

If anything it actually makes it worse, because we would have been using a player who may not even have been good enough in his chosen position in one that plainly wasn't.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I have seen him play for the u21s as a central defender, full back, central midfield, wide midfield and even up front. I was at one game and discussed Abdulai during halftime with someone very knowledgeable of the development set up. They described him as a bit of an enigma. Good in defence but not physically strong enough. Decent in central midfield but again not strong enough, sloppy passing and gave away the ball too easily. Wide he was better as he had pace and could shoot but again sloppy with his passing which was hit or miss. This was before he got a couple of chances in the first team squad. Looking at how he played then it is difficult to disagree with the appraisal I was given. There is no way he could have been trusted in central midfield. He moved to Orient and his second game played well against a very weak Exeter defence ravaged with injuries. The first 3 games for Orient he played left midfield, the 4th he played up front against Mansfield the next game against Lincoln he played advanced midfield and has been on the bench since. (Thanks again to my mate who gave me the Orient appraisal, as well as the u21 one). There is a good player in there somewhere, whether he can adapt to first team football is another question. I hope so as we have a decent sell on.

There are many sticks to hammer Williams with and yes he deserves it but Abdulai is not one.
