Swansea City : Luke on the brink, has he got another week ? on 11:41 - Jan 26 by raynor94 | My son's 50th birthday coming up so I thought I'd treat him to hospitality against Coventry Went on the official site which gives you the email to contact for the information. That was a month ago and never heard anything back, we seem to be a shambles on and off the pitch |
Have some sympathy man, Coleman has got a lot on his hands. He’ll fit in a moment or two to reply to your request before next week I’m sure😂

Swansea City : Luke on the brink, has he got another week ? on 11:37 - Jan 26 by jack247 | He built up a lot of goodwill moving those two charlatans on from the club. It’s in danger of evaporating quickly on the back of this transfer window and the ongoing Williams saga. He knows he’s going to have to do it eventually. The longer it drags on, the harder the new mans job becomes and the less attractive we’ll be to our top targets. |
Was it false goodwill though, most fans were glad that they were gone. Coleman was part of their consortium, they were desperate to sell so was it all his doing? It does seem that since the original takeover the people involved have had some links to each other.

Swansea City : Luke on the brink, has he got another week ? on 11:06 - Jan 26 by max936 | Who of those with a higher pedigree would come here, we seem even more of a basket case of a club, than we were before the take over, Coleman is coming across as clueless arse, what is really going on behind the scenes I wonder, things are obviously not right! |
Keith has written several good articles about our finances relating to the P and S or FFP rules. Effectively we are walking a precipice on this As I see it Coleman has been working hard to reduce then risks of us being penalised by cost cutting. We have heard about how our players are mostly on lg1 wages or thereabouts and now Coleman is trying to do lots of jobs himself. I have seen this happen in businesses over the the years where the man at the top decides to wear lots if hats to save money the problem is they don't always have the right head to fit all the hats needed and eventually things spiral out of control as it's impossible to keep all the plates spinning and know all thwrenis to know .

Any new manager/coach coming in is gonna have to use the players who are here, he's not gonna bring any in with the window closing in just over a week, what new manager of any quality is gonna want to come here and deal with the players who are here, jobs a poisoned chalice.

Are those new faces still onboard. I was expecting a brains trust of motivated successful business men pushing us forward, but totally they have been anonymous in deed and act. Are they still involved or have they taken a back seat for some reason? How can Coleman substantiate his actions with them over the last few weeks. There is a mystery to be unravelled somewhere Keith.

Levien and Kaplan were the front men and decision makers on many investors. More investors have got involved and some have quite a bit of money, these guys seem to have become more interested in the club, more so than the original investors who are not as flush and were happy for Kaplan and Levien to do the work. Things didn't go as well as expected and a lot of the smaller investors have taken a hit and walked away, these new investors with more wealth have started to dilute into the running of the club and that is when Kaplan and Levien decided to get out of town. With Tyler Morse and Nigel Morris, here alone are 2 guys combined that have more financial clout than most championship owners. Tyler Morse assets worth is over 5billion.

Serious question: what do you expect them to do? They’ve invested money but that can’t be spent on what we want because of well documented financial restrictions. We need to get through this season by playing in a way that gives us the best chance of reaching the 50 points (?) required, then reduce our overheads by natural wastage and reinvest what we can in new squad members and manager. Hopefully the latter will be sorted by then but I dare say one of the options the board are weighing up is whether LW can get us to the end of the season above the bottom three. It’s a calculated risk with a high chance of failure in my opinion.

As I said earlier Keith has documented this in several good articles over the past weeks. It's all Coleman thinking he is doing the right thing in his getting the losses stemmed and also cutting costs by wearing many hats. Trouble is there are only so many hours in a day He doesn't have sufficient knowledge of British football Maybe it's time he turned to fellow director Martyn Morgan for some advice? Or support in choosing a DoF or manager. Colemans time maybe up soo too as perhaps these investors were happy to leave him in charge. I suspect he persuaded them to buy out Steve and Jase by telling them how those two were holding the club back. The problem is now such a mess left from the past seasons of mismanagement we have little wriggle room. I'm sure if things go further south the likes of Morse will hopefully look to appoint their own "sound" man rather than walk away

Even if Morse had double that amount its not much good if his hands are tied when it comes to providing a large source of money ( and it would be a large source of money to steady the ship)

This is an issue for some, Newcastle being an example.

Thoroughly agree….as depressing as it is. The club structure and management is nothing but amateurish and that’s putting it nicely. Not exactly encouraging for potential candidates are we.

Doing that is false economy, to run a business any business properly you need able people doing important roles without those people a business will hit the wall 100% What is the "strategy man" Gude doing ne's drawing a wage, but for what exactly?

Swansea City : Luke on the brink, has he got another week ? on 09:18 - Jan 26 by Dr_Winston | He should have been out on his arse before the WBA game. The fact that he's still stinking the place out is a failure on club management's part. Every hour he's here is an hour wasted. |
The problem is what club management ? Coleman and Gude ? Micky mouse and Daffy duck would have more of an idea of what to do

Why is it an issue for Newcastle but not Stoke for example. Stoke have lost 31 million in the last 6 months alone.. 42 million is the maximum for losses over a 3 year period but Stoke are not subject to these rules as the Coates family Bet365 constantly consolidate their debt. PL losses are 105 million over a 3 year period which is small fry for Newcastle. Whilst all this is going on Man City just spend what they like. [Post edited 26 Jan 16:52]

How would Stoke consolidate their losses with their owners company, how do they do this? Newcastle want to spend more but are governed by FFP, a different avenue my apologies.

Swansea City : Luke on the brink, has he got another week ? on 10:07 - Jan 26 by vetchonian | He is a dead man walking....he has to go if he hasn't lost the players he has the fan base united against him. But changing the manager will only paper over the cracks things are now very awry at the club Here we are looking for our third manager in 18 months. Nobody at a senior level at the club with any strategic knowledge of British football A wafer thin squad earning league 1 salaries . Another January window where this is little activity and unable to get identified targets over the line. We may appoint an interim or a permanent manger but I'm sure unless there is a major overhaul we will find ourselves in a similar position in a years time. |
and that is all that needs to be said. clearly it won't stop the same other points been made over and over again. I guess that's what message boards are all about ...
