The Southport attack and Starmer on 19:55 - Jan 22 by Gwyn737 | Years. Permanently excluded at 13 and 3 referrals to Prevent. This should be apolitical. |
Yep, which makes Labour's reponse to it idiotic. They've got every opportunity, much of it justified to point out that much of what happened took place on someone else's watch, but they can't help themselves.

The Southport attack and Starmer on 19:38 - Jan 22 by Dr_Winston | I was being sarcastic. Obviously Labour (and their media attack dogs like James O'Brien) are desperately trying to spin the narrative on this one to the availability of weapons as opposed to the fact that this kid was known to be dangerous for months, if not years before he did what he did and nobody did anything. O'Brien's piece where he links the attack to Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk is barking mad. |
That’s as maybe but it’s seems to be true I’ve watched a Conservative Home Secretary at the PF annual meeting make out their commitment ( at that time) to being tough on law and order . My son in law witnessed Teresa May state Police werent a special case ,which was the reason she amended the Pensions to an extent that ,if offered to the Train Drivers ,would see an all out long strike supported by Labour . In short,Tories nowhere near party of law and order Sadly,Labour cannot show overt support as this would be seen by their supporters as being extreme right wing ,which of course is the worst insult out there . No political party has the guts Good posting btw.

There will be a big target on his back from the day he goes in. Lifers will be queuing up to stick a shank in him. Prison is not going to be fun.

Well let’s hope natural justice applies because I wouldn’t want to put any trust in a parole board even though I’m unlikely to be still here by then.

Why should be leave it to natural justice or fellow inmates to mete our summary justice We have become gutless I read the Guardian this morning full of self loathing worrying about the far right and how they cause these attacks and racism . It is time to reintroduce capital punishment Anyone welcome to debate it with me .

I used to enjoy the Guardian, these days it's packed full of opinion rather than news. Anyone thinking this guy was motivated by the so called ' far right' has not paid attention to the facts of the case. In this case capital punishment is the right answer; absolutely horrific crime with absolute certainty about the offender's identify.

Spot on. The Manchester Guardian was a quality newspaper, while today's offering is just a vehicle for activist journalists at the far end of woke. The newspaper has been on a downward trajectory for a long time now. I remember a well-known economics professor telling me 20 years ago that he no longer looked there for an accurate account of what was happening in his sphere. Unfortunately the Independent has gone the same way.

Agreed. There’s been little talk of where parents are in all these cases. I hope now that justice has been served, concentration is on what happened prior to arrest and not political point scoring.

Yes, that is what I thought. There was a weapon in the sitting room, plus lots of dodgy material, Also the general state of the house did not match the picture of the respectable, middle class, God-fearing family previously portrayed by the mainstream media. I see on X/ Twitter that posters are zeroing in on the father's previous life in one of the feuding Rwanda militias, his asylum claim (and which lawyers were involved), and the relocation of the family to a secret address at considerable taxpayer expense. The family's arrival in the UK doesn't seem to have been exactly positive in terms of outcomes. [Post edited 23 Jan 22:45]

I want to know who these people are and what they believe. I want to know why his father did not march his son to a police station, not least after he found him preparing a school massacre. I want to know how a boy can turn up at school TEN times with a knife and not be sectioned. I want to know why Prevent is not preventing horrific attacks like this one and is clearly no longer fit for purpose. I want to know why the school, social services, the local council, and others did not stop this psychopath despite countless warnings. I want to know why Prevent and the state appear utterly obsessed with the right-wing when 70% of terrorist attacks in this country since 2018 have been Islamist and three-quarters of MI5's caseload is Islamist. I want to know why Westminster and legacy media fell over themselves to share details of other terrorist attacks but went silent over this one. I want to know why Keir Starmer has previously tweeted about attacks on the actual day they occurred calling them "terrorism" but refused to do so in this case. I want to know why the state keeps letting people who murder our children, from Axel Rudakubana to Manchester bomber Salman Abedi, fall through the cracks. I want to know why the media gaslit us by presenting this boy as a nice Dr Who choirboy from the Welsh valleys when they knew he had a long history of violence, had been referred to Prevent, and had ricin. I want to know why Keir Starmer casually branded many people in this country "far right" before they even went to court but now is suddenly obsessed with contempt of court procedure. I want to know why Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner derided people for spreading "fake news" and "conspiracy theories" when they suggested this was linked to terrorism when we now know that SHE knew this guy had been referred to counter-terrorism authorities three times. I want to know why much of the political, media, and cultural class in this country piled in on Nigel Farage, even trying to describe the unrest as the "Farage Riots", when everything he was saying about the truth being withheld was right. I want to know why, even today, they are not apologising. I want to know why Keir Starmer is now trying to convince us there is a 'new' form of lone-wolf terrorism when, from David Copeland in 1999 onwards, this has been obvious to everybody for decades. I want to know why if this had been a white British boy who stabbed three black girls to death and injured many more, who was then later found with far-right literature and ricin, we all know the response from Starmer, Cooper, Rayner and much of the media would have been entirely different. I want to know why Keir Starmer talks about "protecting our children" while *literally* not being able to tell us who is coming into our country through our broken borders and why. I want to know why, as with the rape gangs, nobody in positions of power, in these state authorities, is on primetime news apologising to the country. And I want to know why we are now having this utterly ridiculous debate about Amazon, 'buying knives online' and social media when, in reality, what this is about is how our leaders continue to let masses of people into our country from high conflict, highly violent societies who do not think like us, do not act like us, do not share our values or respect our laws, and do not care about us. Yesterday, Keir Starmer said he is "drawing a line in the sand". He should start by apologising to the people of this country for how he and his government have handled Southport as well as the rape gangs, both of which will now go down in history as powerful symbols of the total incompetence and inability of the state to keep us safe. And then he should announce he is ending the extreme policy of mass uncontrolled immigration which is destabilising our communities and nation, will do whatever necessary to fix our broken borders, will completely overhaul Prevent, will actually develop an integration strategy for this country (we do not have one!) and will start treating hardworking, taxpaying British people with the respect and decency they deserve by authorising major inquiries into not only Southport but the rape gangs. That would be a start. We want to know the truth. And we want to change the direction of our country"

An absolutely first class post Boundy asking questions of all the failings we as British citizens are experiencing currently due to inept and cowardly government. Not just this one, you’d expect it from someone such as Starmer but the previous government who frankly I expected more from. This post should be put on an online platform somewhere where it gets maximum viewings and also put in letter form to relevant authorities, starting with Starmer. Do it through your local MP. Again, brilliant post 👏 Edit: sorry, I thought it was your words but all the same, thanks for bringing it to our attention. [Post edited 24 Jan 10:26]

His father text one of the neighbours to say sorry and it won't happen again, he must have had an idea of what was going on. And even getting him out of a taxi when he was armed with a knife heading to his old school. There are failures of monumental proportions in this case.
