So Who Would You Like To See In Charge ? 10:57 - Jan 13 with 4050 views | STID2017 | Assuming Williams time is short with us, who would you like to see as a replacement ? Personally I would be happy to see a proven manager like Ian Holloway come in. His Blackpool team were one of the most entertaining opposition teams I have seen at the stadium If we are to continue being a mid table team, at least let's start enjoying it

So Who Would You Like To See In Charge ? on 07:21 - Jan 14 by Dr_Winston | Yep. For the same reason I can't take the calls for Osian Roberts seriously. He's done nothing in management to warrant being handed the reins of a Championship club either. We need someone with at least five years of experience behind him at the higher levels of a league. Preferably one of the stronger European ones. Appoint another rookie and we're probably going to end up in the same situation. |
Going to need a player manager and a player assistant manager if we win the Welsh Cup. As we will end up playing over 70 games a season if we get a decent run in Europe.

I sincerely hope this Welsh Cup lark gets knocked on the head, no good will ever come of it

It seems the clubs are not as confident as some of the less intelligent posters. "There will be a review of the competition after four years to ensure that it is delivering the intended benefits for key stakeholders, and Welsh football and society, with all options on the table if it is not". So the key stakeholders, the clubs, if they are not making the money they think they will have the option to pull out in four years. What happens then, we go back to the FA and say "that didn't work can we please go back as we were before." Personally I hope the FA say. Crack on but you can no longer enter our cup competitions, you can't have the cake and the bun. They then would be completely stupid to persevere with the project.

Tony Mowbray for me to steady the ship. Would love to see Joe Allen in the coaching set up also.

I’d like to think that if lunacy prevails that we are aware of all the permutations in the future whether that be expulsion from the EFL, expulsion from FA cup / League Cup either permanently or for the period we’d be stupidly peddling our wares in the Welsh Cup or any other sanctions. On other words we know exactly what can / will happen and make the informed choice then. But as I said on the other thread, the damage goes beyond that in the short term in that we’ve laid our cards on the table as wanting our cake and to eat it. Knock it on the head now and use the fans objections to it as the reason why.

Perhaps Laudrop could be persuaded to come back. But saying that we haven’t got the players to play that style of football anymore. This is one of the first time in donkeys years we haven’t had an out and out goal scorer in the team.

Don’t think he did. I think his stint helping out a few years ago was enough for him. He’s got a lot to offer, even if he didn’t want to manage he could still coach the players to improve their skills etc etc. That can be very rewarding.
