Why not rest a few guaranteed starters and give some kids a go, if baffles me. The only answers can be that LW is either clueless and/or too much of a coward to try new things. He's stuck in a "style" and cannot change, or is scared to. |

Last paragraph is it for me.
It's just a limitation of a lot of coaches these days. If they don't have players of the right type or quality to play the way that they want to play, the concept of maybe playing a different way doesn't register with them. They're all so desperately one dimensional. All trying to Ape Guardiola. |  |

Well that seems bloody stupid, doesn't it. What if Vigoroux gets injured, we'll have McLaughlin for the duration? After today that's a tad worrying.
So lets see, we have no decent cover at goalkeeper, we have no decent cover at centre back, we only really have (of any quality) Joe Allen to cover midfield, we have no cover on the wings, we have no cover at stirker, it's Bianchini or Vipotnik.
Just as well Coleman took over when he did eh or after this window we 'd be asking O'Leary and Robinson to come out of retirement, oh and bring Trunds and Curt with you... | | | |

No I don't rate Fisher and IMO should never pull on a shirt for us again. Watts and Hughes are just not ready so needed to go out on loan, yes we have little else. For me the blame lies with the completely idiotic owners we had who through ridiculous decisions put us in a financial position where we couldn't strengthen the squad last summer or even with money in the bank can't do it now due to P&S rules.
We need to get rid of Williams and get a decent coach in. Explain fully the position to him and get him to try and get the best out of what we have with the promise of structured recruitment next summer when we are better placed with the financial rules.
In short tred water this season and start developing for the future. It's the only way in my opinion. | | | |

Yep.
We have nowhere near one of the worst squads in the division. Could do with beefing up in certain positions for sure, but most would probably say the same. Mid table is about where we should be.
That's the key for me. Even a squad of poor players can look like they're organised, drilled, working to some sort of plan or even vaguely resemble a team of people who haven't mostly all met on the bus on the way to the game.
Twelve months on after Williams arriving can anyone honestly say that's what we are? | |
