Because we offered him a salary considerably larger than they did. It certainly wasn't loyalty as he was making it very clear at the time that he was waiting to see if there was interest from other clubs.
It was a tentative effort from them. Nothing more. If they'd seriously wanted him as anything than a potentially interesting freebie they could have outbid us. They didn't bother. |  |

Jenkins made a low ball offer for Allen and the rest was down to Allen his agent. He chose to go to Stoke.

I think the 2 headline figures include accadamy and ladies teams.
So maybe a little higher than that.
But Stoke have just reported losses of 31 million for the last 6 months.
So they are surely in breech.
Cardiff operating losses currently stand at 50 million over the last 3 years.
