He’s going to be ambitious and look to move to a bigger club at some point, it would be naive to think otherwise.
I think he should be setting his sights higher than West Brom though. Is it that much of an upgrade? A few months back, with Levein and Kaplan strangling the club, I could have understood it.

I agree. He did not need to say anything. He is under contract.Theoereticalky he cannot move without Colemans permission. However there may be a release clause. This is the one that Martin seemingly did not honour.
Call my agent is a disastrous comment and I as a fan am not impressed at all. He is supposed to be persuading Darling to sign up long term. |  |

Possible a bit of loose talk by Williams. He has spooked the fans with his words but will be a tricky spot if WBA go elsewhere, He has already got me not trusting in him. Imagine if you are a player or a potential new signing.
Williams is a decent fellow but perhaps not the shrewdest. the club should have briefed him to say nothing. I am assuming of course that this not already effectively a done deal. | |

Timing is everything. If WBA are interested he can certainly use it as a bargaining chip to tell the board to back him in January or he's off to a more ambitious club. Maybe that's why he didn't dismiss it entirely. | | | |
