Martin wanted a lot of turnover to buy time for his failing process and cover from his many player fall outs.
Williams has stated what he expects and does not want too many new players. There was no support for the previous owners in this thread.

The telling point was when the stadium announcer stated "a new ownership and a new beginning" and the music that immediately followed was Queen, I want to break free and George Michael Freedom. The hatred and it's not too strong a word of the previous owners ran throughout the club.
