Apologies- posted below on wrong thread!
It's no coincidence the majority of swans fans were pleased/relieved to see him go as we're the saints halfway through his debut PL season.
It's all well and good having a philosophy and an idealistic way to play. But if there's no custard in the cupboard you can't make a trifle... You have to adapt. He refused and has paid the price with his job (although I'm sure feet up with his millions in the bank will give him some compensation this Christmas).
I wouldn't say I wish him well, but I do respect him for playing an absolute blinder to make some money!!! [Post edited 20 Dec 21:18]
