Perhaps he is meaning this? [Post edited 25 Nov 21:12]

if you had been at the Patti Pavillion in 2001 I expect you would show a bit more respect to the Trust. Think about the people who gave up thousands of hours volunteering to help the club when it most needed help around the Tony Petty era.

And compare that to the recent owners who didn't give a shite.

My reaction exactly mate. They were not far from ripping the copper out of the East stand. Our academy is now not churning out top talent like it was. The days of Ben Davies , Joe Allen’s , Rodons , James , Mcburnies coming from within is gone. I hope our academy status is looked at again as we are losing top talent to teams like Brentford.

Not even Levien is stupid enough to say anything to the contrary is he? I’m sure his personal thoughts don’t match his public comments.

Davies and Allen came from the CoE not the class 1 academy. It cost a massive £5m a year I read, and that was out of a total income of around £ 20-25m perhaps. It simple was not possible to keep. Tne Patti pavilion was great work. I gave £5 myself for the Leon Britton appeal. Sadly the Trust became arrogant and behaving like a trade union not owners. The "old team" had aged got stale and needed to move on. Huw Jenkins warned everyone that things had to change. The Trust dug their feet in and probably became a headache for the other owners who wanted to pick the fruit of the tree they planted and cultivated. The Trust should have understood these sentiment but did not. Their model is designed for stagnation and shrinkage unless the Americans can deliver growth. It needs to convert to a new model with growth the objective. Jenkins and co gave them a staggering 10,000% growth but the fans call them sellouts. The sellouts were the members who asleep at the wheel when decisions needed to be made. [Post edited 25 Nov 23:10]

maybe if you had been a Trust member whilst we were in the Premier League - you may have got a better understanding of what actually was going on. Did you attend the Trust forum in 2017 when Jason and Steve attended in person?

My understanding is sound. I understand selling anything is difficult and at the very least needs a willing seller and a willing buyer. There was no willing seller. It is incredible they could not a cut a deal rapidly in four months s of talks at £1m per 1%. If I was a member I would be hoping mad and not at the buyer. The Trust members are weak. Jason Levien has left us in a stronger position than when he took over? on 17:35 - Nov 25 by 3swan | I was a member of the Trust back then, I'm certain enough with my memory that the Trust did contact the sellers stating they would consider selling if the terms were amenable. Of course the buyers would only want to pay a figure for the club, if having to buy the Trust shares as well could have resulted in a lower £ per share |
So did they want to sell or not. A Yes or No. They stated " they would consider selling".. If I came to your house to look at your car and you told me that I would say "do not waste your time with this lot". [Post edited 26 Nov 12:05]

You're wasting your time matey, bout time people stopped replying to his loathsome trust rants, we all know the truth, so this loathsome individuals attention seeking nonsense matters not a jot, he's a nobody who keeps dribbling on over and over because he knows he'll get bites.

Phil Sumbler posted this on his site on November 7th Just for the avoidance of any doubt When the club was sold to Kaplan and Levien The Trust wrote to all previous shareholders, less than 48 hours after finding out about the deal and suggested that if the deal was right for the club then an offer for our shareholding would be considered by the members I know that as fact. I have a copy of the letter. My signature is on the bottom of it as is my name. Just saying as it kills the story that the Trust said they would never sell that is peddled around.

All the other owners made millions. The Trust made nothing. Why? Because the members had no personal benefit and the other owners did. The committee system failed to function. It failed to function due to an absence of strong individuals with a concern for their communal welfare. Look at the various bank balances. The Trust should have at least £10m in the bank. They failed. Excuse the ave been shown to be worth nothing as seen with the Trust climb down in 2023 which was inevitable. Business is a tough place and cash is king. 21% ownership is heading to 5% fast. Only a fool would say they played a good hand..

How many shares have the Trust sold over the last 22 years.? The answer is nil. That FACT speaks for itself.
