Stick him up front. 6'5". Technically good. Doesn't have to tackle. Might win a pen or two (which he IS good at taking) Can't be any worse than Celar. Might be the next Crouchy.

We would need him to break out of walking to run and close people down which might be a problem

He'd be more effective on the turnstile helping folk whose ticket/phone won't open the gate.

I like the thinking, but a 6ft 4ins individual currently showing short for corners doesn't immediately suggest to me like he's the next Heider Helguson in waiting.

He needs coaching big time, and hopefully Marti can prove his mettle.

I'm wondering if we are writing these players off too early in their careers here? ...

... anyone? ... No, okay we're doing this...

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

I actually think he could be the next Clive Allen! ...

... Okay, Clive, you can kick me up the arse now. :)

He needs to grow a pair of bollox and get involved in the game rather than hiding for 90-odd minutes. Blokes a gutless liability.

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

Absolutely, but the longer this goes on, the more embarrassing it is (or should be) for the coach too - that's my point! Unless he's being forced to play him (bizarre/scary) or he genuinely feels we have no one better (unfathomable, also scary).

Of course. At times he looks bereft out there. A lot of those we brought in needed a more measured introduction to championship footballer, but a bad run of injuries and naive transfer policy has stymied that.
Madsen's cameo at Leeds showed hope - at least 2 tackles in that, as well. I think Celar may turn out OK.
But probably not in time.

sometimes you can tell quite early that a player is not going to work here, sadly I think he is one of them, i do hope i'm wrong

He likes to have the ball at his feet, get heavily involved in all our passing movements.

I’d stick him in goal.

We'd be better off loaning him out to the local WI and putting him on jam tart duty.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

Looks a good player on the ball to me, he is a good passer of the ball and moves faster than many think, his first goal for us an example. Think his defensive work is improving.

This was my thought as well. He could be a Robert Steiner type player. Steiner was never a big header of the ball, but his control, hold-up play, passing and flick throughs were great. The oppo could not contain him, they just had to hope the other QPR players were not up to it.

Madsen could do this job, I am sure. Celar we know could not. But maybe Celar could be in the middle. I know crazy thoughts of a complete swap of positions.

Meanwhile back on planet earth ....

Should have put Dunne up front alongside Celar in the Sunderland game.

More worried about Celar than Madsen and that's not saying much about either of them. A long cold hard winter is upon us!

If he'd been in charge of the viking invasion in 793 AD, they'd have been very little raping and pillaging

The thought of Madsen curving his run, sprinting down the channel in advanced anticipation of a Paal curler down the line, is giving me goosebumps.

TBF his goal v Luton showed great awareness, desire and no little composure. Maybe stick him on the wing as he was for that goal. Anywhere he doesn't have to tackle and can use his undoubted technical skills.

Steiner is better than anybody we've had up front for the last three seasons.

Bit worried about the use of the present tense there, but you might be right.
