I'm not one of these 'in the know' fans and, while I keep reading/hearing positive news about the potential sale of the club and change of ownership...I can't seem to find anything definitive about the current state of play.
I'm hearing how the negotiations are well advanced, some saying completed! But suggestions made, for no public announcement, are the litigious minded US lawyers, dotting every i and crossing all the t's and because of it, it's all dragging on?
But the question remains, are these sale negotiation rumours even accurate, or are they simply the fantasy, of well meaning but misguided, internet 'fan groups?'
I say this, as the sporting media have been unusually quiet about it all, if it's correct?
Does this mean the negotiations are being held in a professional and so, discreet manner, or is the sale just 'total hogwash' instigated by resentful fans, about the majority owners perceived apathy towards the club?
The reasons behind Company House changes recently, may have been misunderstood. However, it's been the catalyst for desperate fans to get excited about the prospects of us being sold, to what appears (based on unsubstantiated rumours) perfectly credible, committed buyers.
Should anyone have genuine inside sources, I'm sure many of us would like this to be confirmed/clarified/denied, one way or another please. |  | | |  |

When I added this topic to the forum, I hoped some enlightened fan(s), could help provide some definitive answers to my questions raised.
Never, did I expect the New York Times, the BBC and 'X' etc etc to provide the type of credible confirmations I was hoping to receive. My timing was strange, but the media replies have produced a warm feeling of relief and positivity about our club's prospects again.
These new owners don't have a magic wand, so they'll need time to effect changes. But how good is it to know the apathy and resentment expressed by such a high percentage of our support, now won't feel that our progress is being impeded and put at a disadvantage, by the negative attitudes towards Swansea by both Levien and Kaplan.
Thank you all for your responses regarding my confusion over the take-over process.

I would say Morris is leading the change, remember he didn't invest when the LLC were diluting the shares. It will be interesting to see the exact shareholding when the dust settles. |  | | |

I remember the 1982 relegation which led to near catastrophic years and two decades of decline and eventual failure to pay debts to local and other firms.
Levien and Kaplan failed in their mission to expand due to Huw Jenkins s disastrous transfer dealing in the main. He had one bad season out of 15 or so but cost the club dearly.
Levien and Kaplan have admitted failure and 'taken their own medicine' with a cash hit, About $50m perhaps with their partners. They have nor squeezed the new owners too hard over the sale price.
The club is reported to have low debts and having come through Covid indecent shape. Cabango Abdullai Cooper and Cullen have f graduated into the first team which is now stacked with talented 22-23 year old's. Parker Watts Nzingo Hennia Woodward and Govea look like future stars.
They have brought the stadium under their control.

The Trust position was very clear in February 2015. No one contradicted this until much later when the damage had been done.
Levien and Kaplan were in Swnsea checking out the joint only a few months later sometime in the Summer of 2015. |
The news of the last 24 hours has shown that you keep repeating thinsg that aren't true.
I believe Phil Sumbler has posted on Planetswans that the trust communicated with the previous shareholders saying if the deal was right then an offer for the trusts shares would be considered by members.
Also, your lines about Levein and Kaplan being ambitious for the club...turns out they wanted out and it just needed someone (Coleman, Cravatt, Morris, Cohen) with the balls to do it and from what I;ve heard Coleman may have been fed up of being over ruled by absent majority partners. Well he's got nowhere to hidde now and I think maybe we'll see improvement with the new regime.
Hopefully it's onward and upward now and we won't see any more of these pointless, repetitve and boring "ah but the trust" posts because if they weren't irrelevant before, they certainly are now.
Until it is proved different we need to give Coleman full backing, get bums back on seats in the stadium so that he and the others can have confidence in their decision. | | | |

They were pretty big news at the time I think so it's not hard to understand why people immediately assumed Kaplan and Co were one and have just run with it ever since despite them clearly not being so and all the evidence to confirm it.
Ownership groups are very common in US sports and increasingly so over here as more and more Americans buy into football clubs. [Post edited 9 Nov 9:49]

Btw, my comments regarding fans were not meant as a personal jibe at anyone ,simply a case of my stating the obvious that thousands have walked away from the club in a short time . There has to be a reason for this . Things being as they are here and have been for most of this year has stopped me going to games up north but I’ve not missed a game .
I don’t bother with what family I have left over Swansea and I don’t fancy 500 mile round trip alone
