Bonfire of the vanities – Report on 22:28 - Nov 6 with 7071 views | numptydumpty | You got that one Clive. Horrendous is an under stated definition of last night. Multiple expletives, at the long term effects of this dreadfully awful transfer window. Although, yes the players aren't up to the fight, i can't blame them. They just not up to it physically, mentally and their skill levels are also just not there. Don't blame any of them for joining us, clearly thr contracts and wages are way beyond what they have previously achieved. And yes agree, even the more hopeful, the less aggressive and the less critical around me were all in shock last night. I never leave before the end but like half of QPR fans left after the third goal and heard the fourth boro goal when nearing White City tube, which surprised no one. We can avoid relegation if our injury list does not keep expanding and some miraculous transfer business in January is required, which sadly with the current incumbents is difficult to see. Think everyone came away angry last night. Hey ho. We are QPR. Its who we are. [Post edited 6 Nov 22:29]

Incidentally, Ayling had a field day in last seasons win here as well, I do wonder whether Marti takes notes at all. Probably the worst this league has been for many years too, time to take the hit and go down, it’s not enjoyable any more.

Bonfire of the vanities – Report on 23:55 - Nov 6 with 6573 views | Nov77 | When Dunne was trying to untangle himself from the net after laughably trying to prevent the third goal, I was expecting Bob Mortimer to appear behind the goal and say, “and awaaaay!” [Post edited 7 Nov 0:03]

Bonfire of the vanities – Report on 00:21 - Nov 7 with 6486 views | E17hoop | I feel sorry for Saito. He cheers every goal we score in the warm up (we're not going to score in the game are we), checks up on any player of ours who goes down with an injury, wins headers he has no right to, pelted up and down the left last night, and all for his team mates to look and shrug. Madsen was an embarrassment last night. In the second half, with Smyth on, he'd decided he was going to plant himself about 20 feet from the touchline in front of ER and run up and down that. Smyth had no space and all Madsen did was stop balls from Dunne reaching Smyth. Perish the though he'd try and undercut the marker and give Smyth an out ball when we did get the ball. He seems to want to stay a nice 12 feet from the penalty area and mark that space. Complete aberration of a performance.

Bonfire of the vanities – Report on 00:43 - Nov 7 with 6452 views | QPROslo | I thought Madsen had a very decent game going forward, rather confirmed by Sky Sports stats: Shots on target 1 - going low in the Corner well saved by Dieng. Key passes 1- to Celar, his good shot well saved. 49 Touches. 40 Passes. 85% Passing Accuracy. 0 Tackles or fouls won 1 Foul conceded.

Fúcking hell. This viewpoint is literally the reason we brought the big idiot to QPR in the first place. Results from Sky Stats = Decent game going forward Results from eyeballs that are able to process live images = A shellshock victim from the Great War in football boots

How frustrated must Jimmy Dunne be to get into it with the loyal fans who pay their money down to watch that miserable performance and sadly they are now a regular occurance. Everybody has an off game touch wise but lack of effort .heart and desire in inexcusable at this level and needs to be sorted out . One of my best friends supports Leeds ,we were drinking in a bar when we hammered them at Loftus Road last spring and he was gracious ( he knew they were in the playoffs of course ) but I really feel they will show no mercy this weekend .It could be an ugly week sadly

Marti insisted the effort was there, so does that make him (i) deceptive, (ii) delusional, or (iii) able to see beyond fans' hyperbolics? We can't all be right!

He's an oddity. When he does something (rarely) it's often impressive. His crossfield passing ability is very good, just (cough) infrequent. I don't think he "hides," as many on here do. He wouldn't have stepped up and nailed the penalty goal he scored if he did. Mainly he's immobile and doesn't seem to know where he's supposed to be at any given moment. And when he does it takes him a leap year to get there.

Got to admit I don't mind him either but he's clearly a luxury player. Our main problem this season has been how slow and ponderous we are going forward. We faff around, go backwards, sideways, backwards, sideways then eventually lose the ball as there are ten players in front of us. At 0-0 that's irritating but when you're chasing the game it makes it very easy for the opposition to dig in. Did anyone seriously think we'd equalise on Tuesday night? When I watch other sides against us, it's striking how quick and incisive they are when attacking us by comparison. Boro were streaming forward down that right-hand side in waves, not helped by the space and freedom we were giving them. It's probably the thing that most worries me this season as you won't win many games playing like that. One of the reasons Morgan has stood out recently is that he has looked to go forward, gamble, play a ball into the channel. That won't always work but for me it's imperative for us to do if we're going to get out of this mess.
Bonfire of the vanities – Report on 04:44 - Nov 7 with 6221 views | rbee | Other than your unfair stereotyping of fat whores a good read as usual, thank you. Ironic that our star player isn't one of our own. Marti must have had faith in Santos to play him which is worrying, we were probably better off playing three at the back. Dixon-Bonner seems to be an unwanted spare part these days and although not a game changer is surely a better option than Madsen. I might be wrong, you usually are I hear you say, but I think there will be some funds available in January however we are already five points behind the safety line and once again are waiting for the returning cavalry to arrive, Chair now included in that. Fortunately, Steve Cook's lunge didn't connect with Latte Lath on his way to score their third as I think that would have been a straight red. I really can't face watching Marti's post match video, I am all QPR pained out at the moment.

Weirdly, Steve Cook's inability to correctly execute (which makes sense given the rest of the game) his attempt to take out Lath for that third goal might have been the best thing that happened for us in the whole game
Bonfire of the vanities – Report on 06:34 - Nov 7 with 6082 views | thehat | Thanks Clive - I wasn’t at W12 and missed it on the box due to work commitments. I saw the line up and thought okay its the best we can do and with Saturday’s performance and two clean sheets under our belt I admit I was quietly confident. However when I checked the score some hours later I also wasn’t surprised. We really have become a poor team made by the disasterous summer recruitment. We have become an absolute mess. We performed a miracle last season but lightning doesn’t strike twice and we are heading for league one. Our hopes now are to try and avoid the wooden spoon in a fight with Portsmouth. I have to also question my own sanity going to Leeds Saturday it seemed like a good idea a few weeks ago.
Bonfire of the vanities – Report on 06:46 - Nov 7 with 6043 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | From where I sit in the Upper Loft behind the goal you could see the midfielders hiding in plain sight. They were standing directly behind the Boro midfielder, sometimes actually moving to stay behind them! 40 years supporting this club, but that game broke me. A gutless and cowardly performance. Your report however, was spot on, and funny as usual, which helped.
