Burnley 1 Swansea City 0 : Timid and listless Swans beaten at the death 10th Nov 2024 21:59
If anyone’s wants proof that shopping for players on low salaries in the Championship doesn’t pay off then it was evidenced today. Despite a very competent back four and keeper the rest of the team was sour and lacked any punch or awareness in controlling a football. Persistently caught offside or tripping over the ball, giving it away or relying on Myles Peart-Harris and a tired Ronald just wasn’t going to work. 0

If you've got your arms in the air like that, you're asking for trouble. Grimes should have known better than that.

Good value for a point otherwise.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Bianchini should have put us 1-0 up earlier in the game.

Not a good game for him. He also gave away possession several times. We came very close with that goal line clearance from the Swans's header.

No ones mentioned this but Burnley should only have 10 on the pitch. We’d probably still make hard work of it but all the same…

I did mention at half time that Cullen was lucky not to get a second yellow. Check the thread.

I’d have started with him but I think LW wanted to contain them then bring energy and pace on later in the game so fair enough. I wish we’d be a bit braver though, I think we could have won that if we’d taken it more to them. Shame about the ending.

It's hard to jump without raising your arms, unless you're a Maasai warrior.
Soft penalty for me.

The ref got a lot right today in fairness so if it could be given you’d have to say it was a fair decision. I just hope it wasn’t a levelling up from their own robbery in the week.

If I were a Burnley fan, after their recent run of results, I’d be saying that result was papering over the cracks.

We should have won that.

Ober the last few seasons Swansea have suffered big defeats at Burnley and other parachute teams and cut to pieces. The team is now a lot more resilient

With better quality in the final third we probably would have.

Disappointing not to get a point, seen the pen a few times soft, but if it had been their defender we would have felt it was worth it. Think both Cullens could have had reds, theirs for 2 yellow and ours for the challenge on Connor. Move on Leeds next, they are there to be taken. COYS.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

well thats another top side played away and we should have had a point dissapointing to have the pen awarded but its over we lost and its games like this we must win if we want to challenge the top sides, as dissappointed as we all are with the guys we have got we are doing ok, better today a one off game we should have had a point or even we could have won it the small margins that are making a big differances, as others have said this squad is a mid div squad, and lets be honest we should have had a point today, but we did not , we move on to our next game look to January and see if the "buy outs" and new investers show any more ambition time will tell, safe travel home those who went, well done to players and staff today we must move forwards and upwards

It might help your mental state ,which seems fragile . Not surprising with the job you do.
Grimes cost us the game . Simple .
Now,try a little respect .
Winston and I aren’t chums ,never will be .But he’s keeping it tidy of late ,so do the same .Our national team got slaughtered today . It wasn’t pleasant .btw.
