Sadly I think they'll both go. They have shown this season great defensive abilities now and become less risk taking in possession. A number of clubs in this division with ambition and more financial clout will already have sounded them out.

Contrary to what some will have you believe, they have both improved considerably under Luke Williams.

Some posters take dislikes to certain players and managers ability. Once that dislike is in place it's seems hard to shift. Any improvements they make is just not accepted by them. As I state it's some posters and not all of them.

Shouldn't be in this position to have to choose one ,disgusting again by the yanks it no suprise.
We aren’t though, it’s just a question as to what you’d prefer. Our preferences won’t make any difference whatsoever. Saying that, I can’t answer it as they’ve both got their strengths. I possibly woukd buck the trend and say Darling but it’s close.

Well,I’m not as impressed with Lukey as some. Furthermore,O don’t really see how the players mentioned here have improved “ considerably” In the case of Cabango, Martin virtually ruined him by playing him in an unnatural position and his game suffered . Darlings biggest issue can be a tendency to be overdramic . However, I had him down as a possible replacement for the captains armband . I appreciate many arms now experienced increased BP at the thought of it but hey ho.

If there is 'neither' I would select that.
Put this in perspective. We are not picking between them for one to be sold and raise money. We are not choosing between them as possible signings. They are both first team starters for us and playing extremely well. We have not offered them the going rate for players in their position and unless we do both will leave. How is this possibly deemed as acceptable in anyone's opinion. Just pay the money, we have nobody close to being good enough to step up and replace them. We will have to spend money to replace them and the overall package will probably cost more than just paying them. We are in a ridiculous situation again by the club having no knowledge of how to run a professional football club in the UK. A skill set from the USA is clearly not transferable.

That explanation is spot on, most of us see it but the frightening thing is our owners, even though they have 8 years of experience at running a football club can't or should I say won't.
It is that simple that they don't give a flying f@#% about the club or its fans all they care about is money.

Our problem is other clubs will see this as well. Available in 6 months on a free, so pay £1.5M signing on fee over a 3 year contract £10K a week plus £10K a week and they get £20K a week wages. The new club has no immediate outlay and has an asset worth more than the total value of the contract over 3 years. It's absolutely insane our owners can't see this, just give them the money and a 3 year contract and we have a saleable asset for no outlay. It's probably too late for us now as it's gone to far.

Only thing I’d disagree with is it will cost more to replace them. Our owners won’t spend it on our players, they won’t spend the equivalent amount on anyone else.
They’ll just replace with far cheaper, almost certainly inferior, players.
