I've said this before, but Mr and Mrs Patel, who between them put 130 hours a week into the family business have absolutely nothing in common with the modern Labour Party.
The recent budget neatly demonstrates that Labour is all about its client base. The unemployed/unemployable and the public sector. People who actually graft for a living, workers, small business owners, farmers, well, they can all do one. [Post edited 4 Nov 7:01]

It isn't the PC thing to say, but if a certain group of Black MPs ever got real power the White population would be in real trouble. Skin colour is so important to them that they are prepared to portray a violent criminal like Kaba as the innocent target of "racist gang tropes". It doesn't take much imagination to see that reparations, positive discrimination, quotas, looser border controls, harsher penalties for hate speech, rewritten history books, and a steady dismantling of traditional British culture would all be on the agenda. | | | |

It is a good thing that Mr Naseem has left his post in the IOPC, and if he had not he should have resigned over this. I'm afraid that there has to be a suspicion that ethnicity is influencing certain decisions. In this case, a former IOPC lead on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion was promoted into the top job and we saw what happened. Naseem says he stands by his decision, and still believes there was no need to fire the fatal shot. | | | |

There we are then, as I posted on another thread if the assisted dying bill gets passed that should cut the pension by a bit.
It's a pity as much scrutiny isn't paid to the welfare bill, I'm sure a lot more effort could be put in to get the perennial work shy into employment.
