Well, I got married in June 1987.
Wales played New Zealand in the first rugby WC.
I ordered a large screen tv to be brought to our room at 3am with scampi and chips in the basket. and watched us get annihilated.

If you’re going, get your accommodation booked up early. Some places like Auckland will have a decent amount of accommodation, but in other places it will be much more limited and will fill up quickly, especially when the big tour operators start block booking. Mate of mine is looking to go to to Oz to watch the Lions next year, if you want a package on an organised trip with tickets the costs are around £7k with international flights, but that package doesn’t typically include internal flights and hotels outside of the test weekends. | | | |
