"Manchester City are prepared to pay €150 million to bring Cole Palmer back to the club, according to shock reports.

"The 22-year-old left Pep Guardiola’s side to join Chelsea for €47m last summer and he has established himself as arguably the best player in the Premier League since his move to Stamford Bridge."

Of course this is just gossip and rumour, but the fact that it's being seen as plausible shows just how bad our game is now

Chelsea should tell them to fuk orff if there is anything in it!

But you are right Nick re the state of the game today. Just cannot see any satisfaction in knowing that with all the dosh in the world, if you start seeing a threat you buy them out!

The two craziest aspects in all of this was that City failed to realise his true potential in the first place - but Chelsea did!

Palmer is the best player I have seen in a England shirt for years,I just hope he is not coached out of it.

Have grown to really despise Man City.

The complete opposite of the beautiful game. Truly awful. Responsible for sucking so much of the joy out of the Premier League.

Poll: Should we try to replace Selles for the final seven games?

Saw something a week or so back, from a Chelsea fan. It said something about how everyone was laughing at Chelsea for buying Palmer as a replacement for Mason Mount, after the latter abandoned the Bridge for a bumper pay rise.

Since their respective moves....

Mount = 1 goal and 1 assist

Palmer = I think 28 or 29 goals and 10 or 11 assists

Goes to City > Pep turns him into boring winner > Pep leaves City > Pep becomes England manager > England win the World Cup.

Well Palmer did himself no favours in the last England game. He was ineffective and stifled by a bang average full back who plays in the German second division.

You are correct however that - to twist a saying - money corrupts and absolutely all the money corrupts absolutely.

City - like PSG, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc think that because they have money they can make the rules.

And sadly the management of the PL and FA are willing to take dirty money and overlook what amounts to industrial scale cheating by these clubs to keep that money.
