The Courtney Baker Richardson syndrome. 12:56 - Oct 8 with 3440 views | ReslovenSwan1 | It seems to me that the club who has already got SIX strikers at Fairwood or out on loan is in a perpetual state of " we are a bit light up top". From Cooper when he lost Gyorkeres to Martin when he fell out with three forward simultaneously and now Williams trawling the non contract lists. This is a philosophic issue. Namely the Courtney Baker Richardson syndrome (CBR syndrome) Potter made the best of a bad job and gave CBR his debut away at Millwall. He promptly got sent off within minutes gloriously flattening two beefy Cockneys. Montero then ripped Millwall apart. Potter was relaxed with his philosophy as he did not suffer from a CBR syndrome. "Stuff happens. Ollie McB with his frequent illnesses was not reliable and CBR scored 3-4 useful goals as he was very hard on the 6 years box. Potter is a high class operator. He mantra was self improvement. Heading to Man Utd perhaps? Ashworth took him from Swansea to Brighton . The think tank in Resolven noted the CBR was out of the door within days of Cooper arriving. This was the new philosophy. CBR missed an open goal header in a friendly 6-1 win over Exeter. Borja and OMcB dovetailed beautifully for 15 mins and looked like a marriage made in heaven. The young Swede Asora was ecstatic to score his first SCFC goal. He was a victim of the new philosophy. Swansea now has forwards who the manager considers as unplayable. The CBR syndrome. CBR was a blunt instrument who did a job after OMcB overdid the gaming and got ill. Since Potter left Gyorkeres Whittaker Kukharevych Yates Wilson have all suffered from the CBR syndrome and not been used as they are not aesthetically aligned to the Swansea way. If CBR was good enough for Potter why were these players frozen out? A non contract player.? What for? Is it a touch of CBRS?. [Post edited 8 Oct 14:34]

They care more than fans. Cooper had Gyorkeres in the building and wanted Keinan Davis who was inferior to big Vik and injury prone. You are buying Coopers narrative. Keinan Davis would not have guaranteed promotion a because he is not very good. It was Coopers job to tie down potential £80 m footballers to a long term deal. For you and me it is hindsight for Cooper it is his bread and butter. The team was stale it seems at the Wembley no show. They did not lay a glove on Brentford. Could it be they were fresher because of not playing the same team week after week? |
Amazing (but maybe not) that 3times I have posted the true background to the Cooper, Gyorkes, Swansea City scenario which completely knocks your ramblings out of the park, yet you never respond, just ignore and prattle on. You are tedious but entertaining.

Posters have low standards and are completely OK with the club being offered the the closest thing to Shearer for pennies and watch him rot in favour of overpaid Ayew cheap Lowe and average up and coming Cullen who sti has not earned a new deal. The excuses a) he was no good then b) Brighton did not see his potential either c) Cooper did not have the time to develop him

Points a and b are the most sensible things you’ve said in your entire myriad of posts about Gyokores. I’d amend point c to Cooper had no interest in developing a Brighton player, particularly when it would have meant leaving a far more effective, Swansea contracted, player out while we had a realistic shot at promotion.

So when was the first time you realised that we had in Gykores - a Shearer?? Today!! You and your brother should have taken up careers as football agents. You could have called your agency - "Hindsight Agency"

To be honest, this discussion at least does two functions 1. Act as a diversion from the bloody depressing situation of the club in how its run and 2. Give us something to chew over whilst this meaningless international shyte takes over . An empty fortnight so let’s be pleasant to each other ,starting with Resolven. He’s getting picked on and I simply don’t like it

Please read my posts. I stated he was the nearest thing to Shearer today. A big strong sturdy centre forward. The Swansea city CoE and academy have never to date produced a player like this. The recruitment team saw it the managed did not. Cooper messed up as he was eying a player the club could not afford. If the manager does not play players chosen by recruitment it is not necessarily they fault. Potter a highly regarded coach played Courtney. Martin refused to play Whittaker and William refuses to play Kuharevych.
