It’s not all bad news for Wales in the Nations League 12th Oct 2024 09:08
Wales let it all slip in Reykjavik last night in the chill and cold of . Two extra points would have seen Wales stay level on points with Türkiye after their 1-0 win over Montenegro. 0

Thank you for clearing that up.

It did appear that you were laughing at my incredibly inaccurate prediction (utterly deserved) but also indirectly laughing at Wales let a comfortable lead slip, which would have been poor form.

It’s ok to get things wrong on the internet mind. It’s not as if your prediction influences the result, you’ll just look a bit of a berk like I did yesterday.

Sometimes we post with our heart, what we hope will happen even though we have a good idea of what could happen, thought we weathered the storm but hey ho win against Montenegro and then a win against Turkey would put us in a good position that I hope for.

Honestly that wasn’t the case last night, though I completely agree I’m guilty of it sometimes.

We were dominant in second gear. Thomas could and probably should have wrapped it up before half time. Iceland just didn’t look threatening at all.

They were completely different team second half and I’ll hold my hands up, I did not see it coming.

Keep your hands where they were .
You were commenting contemporaneously and you should. We all should .
We can leave perspective and analysis to those paid daft money for doing so.
First half was good,second appalling

Just like we have seen at our club

BTW,that Rhosneigr St David flag. That Cardiff supporter on Anglesey?

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Oh yeah absolutely. There was nothing I saw in the first half that made me think the second half would be anything other than a procession.

I’ll make bad predictions again.

Only small consolation was we clung on. Couldn’t really have argued with a 3-2 the way the second half went.

Ball cleared off our line in the first half, while we looked good in rhe first half we did end up coasting along in that half.

Even in the first half they saw a weakness in our defence and midfield and changed things, I thought we had weathered to storm at the beginning of that second half especially after the surprising substitutions at half time, with Johnson still on the pitch for another 20 minutes I think we could have punished them as they pressed us.

Funnily enough in the game where the opposition went down to ten men we struggled. How many times have we seen aim less clearances with the Swans from out of our box, it was the same for Wales players forgetting that even under pressure they still need to find the right ball out of defence otherwise we invite continuous pressure.
