I would surmise that following the events of October the 7th the huge majority of intelligent thinking reasonable people would accept that Israel’s stated goals of destroying Hamas and its infrastructure and rescuing the hostages taken by them are completely legitimate but cannot be achieved without a serious amount of force, and when Hamas fighters and officials are deliberately surrounding themselves with civilians in hospitals and schools to act as a human shield there will inevitably be civilian casualties. | |
